Guest guest
I'm a bit unorganized myself, which is opposite of my fada's tendency, which was to amass stuff, but keep it very very organized. Which is bad news, as I'm supposed to be a librarian, LOL. So, I don't have much in the way of organization tips that I've used...but I used my librarian skills to look around on the Internet for some websites that may be of use to you. You could probably do some Googling, yourself, or ask a librarian at your local public library. There are probably books about how to organize other things, including papers. Here's a start, which I hope helps a little bit... http://lifeorganizers.com/cm_articles/40_the_organized_papers.html On Sun, Apr 17, 2011 at 2:07 PM, walkingto_happiness < walkingto_happiness@...> wrote: > > > Hi friends, > My nada would make a great case study for one of those de-clutter your > house tv shows. Guest guest
My nada was an absolute neat freak. Everything had to be in it's place at all times. If only one thing was out of place, in her opinion the ENTIRE apartment was a mess. Unfortunately, that's how I am, too. No matter how clean my house is, I always feel like things are dirty or disorganized. I've gotten a lot better over the past couple of years to see it in perspective though. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being COMPLETELY organized, I would rate myself a 7. I'm able to think through those feelings where the whole house feels like a mess when it really isn't. But it's hard. Sometimes that feeling makes me irritable...like I'm spiraling out of control. I get angry at my husband for stupid stuff. Like I said...It's easier for me to think through those times now than before. But it's still there! And I definitely don't think you could come into my house and call me a clean/neat freak. I just don't have the time to give in to all my impulses My husband though...man..he really is messy and has a lot of clutter. Even without my issues with being neat and organized. His little corner of the house (one of the extra bedrooms is his " office " ) is a WRECK!!! Just gotta work through these fleas. It get's easier with the combination of time and self awareness. ~Sara Jo > > Hi friends, > My nada would make a great case study for one of those de-clutter your house tv shows. Guest guest
There's a terrific blog called Unclutterer, that has many useful ideas about organizing and decluttering and getting control of, well, stuff, lol. I enjoy it because it isn't so much about cleaning or organizing for their own sake as about being organized and uncluttered for the sake of living a fabulous life. You can even sign up for emails or just go to the blog or site. As a result I've started scanning a lot of paperwork,, although I don't scan everything. My mail never piles up anymore thanks to Unclutterer, either. It's at: www.Unclutterer.com > 'm a bit unorganized myself, which is opposite of my fada's tendency, which > was to amass stuff, but keep it very very organized.
