Guest guest
Hi, um, I just really needed to kind of find someone else (other than my therapist) to talk to... My mom, little sister, and I moved around a LOT when I was a child. So between the schools, apartments, houses, a shelter, boyfriends, and husbands, I kind of lost most of my friends. Years later, I live with my dad & stepmom while working & attending college. Sometimes I talk with them. But, while I can tell they want to help, it is really hard for them to understand. My younger sister found her self in the same abusive " relationships " of my mother's style (followed by the same self-destructive patterns) and now I don't know where she is... Neither she nor my mother want anything to do with me--I am hypercritical (nicer than how they worded it) and vindictive. A failure as a sister and inadequate as a daughter. I guess I just want to hear from someone older than I am. Someone who worked through this low point and found the path to success! Anyway, I just needed to talk to someone about this--other than my therapist. Sometimes it can be totally isolating...it is hard to find someone who understands the complexities and frustration attached to the relationship with a BPD parent. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi K, you're very welcome here and I know you'll find kindred spirits and others, like myself (and you) who had a hard time finding others who will listen and who get it.
