Guest guest
Hey all, Just wanted to share a little success story. I just had one of the first conversations with my nada and fada where I stood up for myself. This is the first time I don't feel guilty. I set a limit on them, too, and stuck to my limit. I also ended the conversation early when I found it getting tense. My boundaries weren't completely respected, but it's a step! I don't know when the last time was when I felt so...free...! I can state my opinion to them, and not feel upset for how they react. I hope this feeling stays. Thanks so much for the inspiration from all of you. I don't know if I would be able to do this without the supportive community here.
Guest guest
Good for you! The feeling of freedom that comes from standing up against nada and/or fada and refusing to give in to what they want is really wonderful, isn't it? Guest guest
Woo hoo!!! Well done!! High fivin' ya! It's a good feeling isn't it? I know that feeling will stay for you. You've drawn a line in the sand that they're not used to seeing you do. they'll definitely test it again and again, but that's ok. Good job!!
