Guest guest
Hey all, Well, I had a panic attack on Friday because of nada's stalking. And, if you recall, I'm preparing to move in 2 weeks. Tomorrow I have the initial inspection with the property manager and I'm very stressed out and trying to talk myself out of an anxiety attack about it. It took a week of me calling incessantly, leaving messages on his cell phone and office, and faxing over requests that he call me to actually get him to get on the phone and schedule the initial inspection. He has already failed to fulfill his duties by law by not informing me upon receipt of my notice to vacate that I have the right to the initial inspection, nor did he confirm in writing, as required by law, the agreed upon date and time. I plan on informing him tomorrow that he has already violated the law in a number of ways and that I will put up with no further nonsense. He steps out of line one more time, and I am lawyering up. I really don't want it to be this way, but I have never met such an unprofessional person in any situation in my life: not friends, not work, not personal business, NEVER. The fact that he doesn't even know the law that governs the business he does " professionally " kills me. But I know my rights and I am calling him on it tomorrow. I only have 2 weeks left to finish packing and cleaning, and for 4 of those days I will be out-of-town locating new housing. I do not have time for this BS. I know this is off-topic, but I am just so stressed and the anxiety level is massive. Does anyone have any advice?

Guest guest
Yes, I am seeing a therapist. At this point I just needed to vent and get some sympathy. Thanks. In the state of California, the landlord is required, after receiving 30 days notice, to notify the tenant that they have the right to an initial inspection to identify cleaning and repairs that must be done before they move out. The landlord is required to give the tenant written confirmation of said appointment at least 48 hours in advance. At the conclusion of the initial inspection, the landlord gives the tenant a list of noted repairs/cleaning and the estimated expenses. The tenant then has the opportunity to repair/clean before moving out. (But this applies only to damages/dirt caused during the tenancy, not prior damage.) Guest guest
Cool. how are you going? I'm having housing issues, I was completely freaking out, but I started concentrating on my health and especially breathing slowly with my belly not my chest - whenever i think of it. I need to start a new diet for hormones and things but I'm consoling myself with junk food now, and starting when i have a new place to really settle into. I'm just planning it for now. (i'm housesitting). I'm a tough love type person i'm not always good at conveying sympathy, except with kids. But i do feel for you. Moving is such a huge stress, and those real estate agents/landlords treat renters badly. > > Yes, I am seeing a therapist. At this point I just needed to vent and get some sympathy.
