Guest guest
Dad took her in yesterday for a suspected heart attack. Probably really had a panic/anxiety attack. Stress test today will tell the tale. It wasn't my letter that did it--TG!--it hadn't arrived by yesterday. But I'm sure she was still barking about me from Sunday and I hear that she fiercely tore into her real estate agent the previous afternoon--just before signing papers to rent out her 2nd house that won't sell. (can you say inappropriate social conduct?) I wish some doctor would just put her on valium or something. She doesn't even know when she's locked into 'rabid' mode. She thinks the world is out to get her and if she can only assert enough control everything will be ok again. Eventually the fight catches up to her and she has one of these episodes. ly, I'm surprised she's still alive after years of this.
Guest guest
I've discovered in recent years that its really noticeable how much my nada's control over her acting-out behaviors when she is very stressed, is deteriorating now. She used to have more ability to control her reactions (used to be more high-functioning) and she could appear calm (in that rigid, teeth clenched, eyes-boring-holes-in-you kind of way) and she could wait until we were in the car before she'd let loose with a melt-down of hysteria or a rage-tantrum, but I'd say that over the last 15 years (since Dad died) she's gradually lost more and more of her ability to wear her " mask of perfection " in public. So, she's devolving and becoming more " low functioning " as she ages. She's in her 80's now. -Annie > > Dad took her in yesterday for a suspected heart attack.
