Guest guest
Hunny Buns and I have been working on restoring our old house for FIVE years. We are starting to see the light - each and every room will be usable. Right now we are building a master bedroom, bathroom and huge princess closet in our attic. It is so cute with all the weird attic angles and natural light pouring in. . . Huge accomplishment. Been saving for this for years. Any way, in about 2 weeks we are going to need a new bed and mattress. I'm a mediumish person - 5'6 and too fat but my t-shirst are size medium. . . Boyfriend is a 6 foot 5 giant with a 57 inch chest. He's huge! Plus 2 of our 3 dogs sleep on my side of the bed. We currently sleep (this is sad) on a full size mattress in a corner of our basement. its much too small. But we had to use this mattress because the other one we had really aggrivated my fibromyalgia. So anyway, any of my sensitive friends out there have fibro, or migrains, or other sensitivities, I would LOVE your advice in mattress shoppping. I want to melt into my bed and not wake up aching all over - like I do every day. Thanks so much XOXOXOXOX
Guest guest
Have you looked into the sleep number or the tempurpedic mattresses? I have, in the past, gone to stores that sell those, and although I only got to do a " test drive " , they both seemed to be very comfortable. Guest guest
Might not work in your attic bedroom, but the best thing we did when mattress shop was to see the Dirty Jobs episode on old mattresses. I live in Michigan, which is a humid region and we are next to the woods. When we replaced the mattress we also had to throw out most of our bedroom furniture, clothing, etc., due to 2 types of mold growing in our room. I did not want to get another cloth mattress that could rot. Instead, we got a queen sized waveless water bed. I LOVE it! Our backs have never felt better and the warm bed is great. Best of all, I located a 4-poster water bed frame on Craig's list for $100. I also found 2 hardwood dressers on Craig's that matched the bed style perfectly. The hardest part was finding a water bed showroom so we could order the mattress. Now I have a grown up looking room, no mold, and a bed I love to get into at night. > > Hunny Buns and I have been working on restoring our old house for FIVE > years. Guest guest
My husband and I got a Land and Sky mattress from his parents, and OMG is it comfortable. We have 3 cats, and any number of foster kittens who like to sleep with us, too. Ours is a latex one, but I've heard that other Land and Sky mattresses are just as comfortable. It's a little pricy if you're used to buying regular mattresses, but it's cheaper than TempurPedic, and it's heavenly to sleep on... Guest guest
I have chronic low back pain and the tempurpedic mattress is the best I have ever slept on. If you want to melt into a mattress and wake up comfortable, this one is it. They are heavy and expensive, but worth it. --.
