Hey gang,

I also found out yesterday at my doctor visit that I have Degenerative DIsc Disease. Does anyone else have this?????

I also found out that the wait to get in to see a neurologist will be up to a year :( ( I live in Ontario Canada).........Does anyone have any experience with Botox injections?? That is one of my options...........But it is h ugely expensive I am told.

Also, he started me on Propananol, to lower my blood pressure (finally!!) and to help alleviate my migraines.........40 mgs twice a day.........

If anyone has any knowledge of these things I would greatly appreciate to hear from you......

Also........walking and yoga was suggested to me??? Yeah, if I EVER have the energy to function!!!!!!!!!!

Jen I have degenerative disc disease for 20+ years. So far I have been able to avoid treatment/surgery. I take Advil if by back acts up and rest. Our daughter that just had the surgery yesterday for the disc problem also has it and so does our one son. Botox for degenerative disc disease? Didn't realize that was an option. You will remain in my prayers.

Hugs

nne,

At least this gives me some hope that I can avoid treatment and or surgery!

Actually, no...the Botox was for MS and migraines as well........I had never heard of it, which was why I wondered if anyone here had any experience with it...No, it wasn't for DDD...right now I am not treating it, with anything other than painkillers, it's bothersome every day. I think it will help though if I lose some weight too.........
