Protection Cream Good for: normal, dry , and severly chapped skin Use: as desired Prep time: approx. 45 mins Mix with: whisk Store in: low tub or jar Yields: approx. 12 treatments Special: Can be used as an intensive overnight hand and foot cream 1/4 cup pre-warmed coconut oil 1/2 cup sweet almond, extra-virgin olive, jojoba, or grapeseed oil. 1/2 TBSP cocoa butter Combine all ingredients in a small pan or double boiler and heat just until the cocoa butter melts. Remove from heat. Allow mixture to cool slightly, then beat vigorously, cool a bit more, then beat again until creamy. Note: cream may harden in cold weather. To soften, place container in a shallow pan of hot water for about 10 mins. Baby's Bottom Cream Good for: all skin types, especially normal and dry Use: as desired Prep time: approx. 30 mins Mix with: whisk Store in: low tub or jar Yields: approx. 8 treatments Special: Makes a great " ski cream " ! Really protects against the dry, frigid air. Also makes good diaper rash prevention cream. 2 tsp non-petroleum jelly 2 tsp. cocoa butter 2 TBSP grapeseed, jojoba. or castor oil 2 drops essential oil of orange blossom, apple blossom, carrot seed, or lemon balm () Heat all ingredients ( except essential oil) in a small pan just until the cocoa butter is melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool a bit, then stir occasionally until cool and thick. Add essential oil, then beat again. Store. This cream will not turn white but will be relatively thick and clear. Use 1 tsp. per application. Refrigeration not required. Enjoy!
