Guest guest
Oh, no, Jen. Not just cats in our house! lol We have 5 big dogs and one smaller dog. The big dogs all traveled with us to Alaska and back again. So they have experienced wolves, bears, moose and more! The oldest in 9 years old and 4 are 8 years old. The little one is a year old and was dumped here in 2009 and we took him in. Only one of the dogs is mine. He is 8 and is a Catahoula Hound mix. His name is Yippy. He is a very neurotic dog and stays by my side all the time and freaks out when I am gone. Our dogs are part of the family:) SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Jen cats, cats, cats! --Re: Razzi and her "mini-me" You should go ahead and add one more little kitty, Jen! This household has 8 indoor cats with one of those being mine. She is a black and white cat named Tux. She and her kitten were left behind when the people next door moved out. She brought her kitten over here and hung around outside until my granddaughter noticed her and brought them both inside. Her kitten is now grown and the grandkids call him Juniper . At first Tux was my granddaughter's cat but then after my 14 year old kitty Susie died Tux decided to become my cat. We also have about a dozen barn cats. Guest guest
I think this is the first time in 39 years I haven't had a house full of dogs and cats. Usually 4-6 at a time. After Max my Dalmatian died, its been really hard to even think about having another dog. He was so childlike, and thought he was one of us, and we thought so too, it was like losing a child. I just don't think I could handle getting that attached again. My emotions are so fragile now it would be too hard on me. I only had 1 cat that I was really attached to, Freckles, and that was in the early years of our marriage, and it was devastating when we had to put her to sleep. So after that I never got as attached to the cats. We've had 1 black lab, 2 golden labs, 2 Dalmatians, 1 Terripoo, 1 cocker-lab, and several cats and litters from the smaller dogs, and all the cats. I figured around 29 total of both over the years. After Max we got a cat [Pumpkin] from a no kill shelter, she was about 2, and was abandoned, so she had people issues. We finally had to give her back when the behavioral problems were too much for me to handle. [peeing on the bed, etc.] We weren't allowed to put her outside, and I am too disabled to take care of a problem animal. In my pre-ms days I could have worked with her, but sadly now I can barely take care of myself when Steve is at work. So a dog is out of the question at least until Steve retires. Kittens boxed trained would probably work, as we've had 2 together before and didn't have any problems with them. I'm still hesitating though. But I sure do miss the company. Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Subject: now dogs, dogs, dogs!
