Texas Tech U.H.S.C. at El Paso is seeking a qualified individual for the

position of Associate (Education) Director within the Department of Emergency

Medicine, EMS Division.

This position will be responsible for coordinating and/or instructing EMS

certification courses at all levels. Additional duties include coordinating

and/or instructing EMS specialty courses (such as BTLS, PEPP, and BLS),

instructing in our continuing education program, and participating in EMS

educational events for specialty teams within El PasoÆs Fire, Police, Airport,

and Search & Rescue teams. Requires detailed knowledge of EMS systems and

educational curriculum at all levels, superior organizational skills, and the

ability to work independently within established guidelines and procedures.

Baccalaureate degree in a medically related field, four years experience in

management, one year experience in EMS education, and three years experience as

an ALS provider (preferred) or HS Diploma w/7 years experience as an ALS

provider and 1 year in EMS/ALS education. Current certification as a Texas

paramedic or Texas RN license preferred. Date opened: 6/8/05. Salary D.O.E.

($2,700 - $4,800)
