Guest guest
A member of my family is going thru this now. Passing this on to others dealing with BPD who may have experienced the same thing. http://www.petition2congress.com/1627/stop-false-allegations-domestic-violence/
Guest guest
I have experienced being accused of doing things I did not do, saying things I did not say (or meaning something entirely different than the information I conveyed), and even thinking things I was not thinking... by my nada. I'm sure this mostly was due to her bpd cognitive distortion and her " negative filter " . Even now, she still tends to interpret even neutral incoming emotional information as negative; its what the concept of " walking on eggshells " is all about. Just the other day, Sister reported that our nada (who now has full-blown Alzheimers on top of her bpd/npd/ocpd) got pissed off at Sister because Sister was not using a " sweet " tone of voice to nada when Sister reminded nada that nada's hallucinations are not actually there, they're not real. (Ah, yes. During out growing up years, Sister or I would get slapped in the face for not using the right tone of voice; nada demanded " sweetness " .) If this petition you posted a link to is true, then it is a grievous miscarriage of justice that a person could be deemed guilty of domestic violence, child abuse or child sexual abuse only on the say-so of the accuser or alleged victim, *with no burden of proof required.* That totally undermines the tenet of our justice system: that an accused person is considered innocent until *proven* guilty. And yet at the same time, I don't wish to disrupt the " mandated reporter " system that can be the only lifeline a child has to report abuse or neglect by a parent. There isn't an easy or simple answer to any of these fundamental problems, I'm afraid. -Annie > > A member of my family is going thru this now.
