I keep hearing 'rumors' that the economy is picking up but we haven't seen any sign of it at all. I'm sorry 'himself' is having a hard time getting a new job. Does it help to know he's not alone? lol... didn't think so:) My son's business is so dead and has been for over a year now. Son sells large cactus such as saguaros and since those are a luxury item, his business was affected by the recession before a lot of other people were affected. Now my son-in-law is seeing his business affected as well. We have friends who have a plumbing business and they are going under. I have seen so many businesses in town close their doors. I hope your hubby finds a job quickly. You have a sister parish in Romania? I have a cousin who is a

missionary in Romania, along with her husband. She is a baptist type (not sure what exactly) and I always joke that she's over in Romania trying to convert the Catholics (me). She laughs but doesn't say it's not true. lolSend us some pictures of your latest needlework! hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. You shoulda heard the Ssssnnnnnnnooooooooorrrrrrrrrrres.... :-D Been busy the last few days finishing up another bunch of patterns forThat Editor Woman - they'll be on sale "in person" at a big SCAChristmas-time event, and a national EGA seminar in the spring, and inbetween my pattern=making and my partner's seminar-class-writing the Etsystore is also creeping closer... Himself is still job hunting - this is the longest he's been unemployedsince he started working at 12!!!! and the weather is changing so it’s timeto change over the house and the yard and the wardrobe, and start gatheringcanned goods for local food drives and school supplies for our sister parishin Romania, and and and.... In going through closets, we discovered that Himself is the proud owner of4!!!! Very nice suits, which have all gone off to the cleaners' now so hecan "dress for the job he

wants" - now I have nothing in MY wardrobe thatmatches him, so if he gets a fancy job I gotta do some clothes shopping! And he's working a night shift at the FD, so the dogs are all in herestaring at me wanting to go night-night. in WYPractical Blackwork Designs"You get a wonderful view from the point of no return..." http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com http://practicalblackwork.com-----Original Message-----From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On BehalfOf

Mmmm. We hear that here, too - but there are still twice as many pages of

foreclosure notices in the local paper as job listings... AT least Himself

has the option of working - up to 800 hours in a year - at the FD, which

doesn't pay a LOT but at least it's some pay, and his retirement check

covers the house payment so we're not as bad off as could be, but we're

dancing on the edge of disaster. Plus he NEEDS a job - he is NOT good at

" leisure " !

Our church has sister parishes in Sarmaduk, Romania, and Amarran, Syria

(so far), and might as well have one in Moldova since we've been " host " to a

large group of Mol-dovan young people here for work... we also support a

missionary in Romania who runs several substance abuse clinics, and his wife

runs a " mother and child " clinic to help young women learn to keep and care

for their babies.

And your cousin just laughs because she wouldn't want to tell you

a fib... ;-P

Just for giggles, am attaching some pics of our church and our

" sisters " ...
