Guest guest
I have a baby that is ten months old and having a difficult time getting him started on solids. I have fed him avocados, mashed on and off. I thought this would be a good fat for him. I have also tried cooked squash, mashed bananas and egg yolk. He seems to have tummy aches at night after I have fed him these things all at different times of course. They have all been hard to get down him. He tongue thrusts most of it out. He does like to pick up food his brothers and sisters leave behind and chew on it. He really seems to like foods he can feed himself. He loved chewing on some bread and waffles left behind by siblings. I know he would eat these more willingly than what I spoon feed him, but I didn't want to start him on grains and they are a mixed food. I am breastfeeding him and it is the only thing he gets most days. Could I start getting him to drink our goat milk from a cup and when I am sure he is used to it, add egg yolks? He is on the small side and seems to have a delicate digestion at this point. Would love any suggestions! Thanks, Shari
