Guest guest
I'm curious--I've heard that PALS has changed (tells you how long it's been since I've had it). That you no longer must take a 2 day course, but that the one day fast track course goes over the same stuff quicker. I've been told that for NREMT-P, they'll accept either 16 hours of OB/GYN and pedi OR any PALS course. Anyone know anything 'bout this? (I haven't been able to get hold of the CE department at NREMT yet.) BBT
Guest guest
I help teach PALS and we still run the initial course over two days. I have heard of the refresher being one day though. As far as NR is concerned, the last time I recertified I was able to plug my PEPP into the OB and Pedi section. I am looking at my application as I type this and in reads " If you completed a 16 hour course in PEPP or PPC fill in date (meets all objectives of OB & Peds) " It mentions nothing about PALS. Hope this helps. Quinten NREMT-P/Firefighter PALS I'm curious--I've heard that PALS has changed (tells you how long it's been since I've had it). Guest guest
This is true. You can go the National Registry site and download the information. Guest guest
I miss informed you. Pals does count with an additional 8 hours of pedi trauma. We just recertified and had to call the NR. Sorry. On Sat, 16 Sep 2006 20:02:52 -0500 " Quinten " wrote: > I help teach PALS and we still run the initial course >over two days.
