FIREFIGHTER/EMT

The City of Brady is accepting applications for full and part time Firefighters.

This position would serve as a first responder to all fire calls and emergency

medical calls, controls and extinguishes fires, operate and maintain fire

equipment, performs rescue operations; may assist with medical transfers.

Requirements: Fire Fighter Certification, EMT-B (Paramedic preferred), High

School Diploma or GED, Class B CDL w/ air brakes, tanker endorsement preferred

but not required.

Benefits include: City paid employee health insurance, TMRS, sick leave,

vacation leave.

Salary: $30,000 yr. DOQ

Our schedule is 48/72, health benefits, retirement, credit union, paid CME,

and uniforms are provided to each employee.

Entry level is $13.00 hourly (paid 24 hours), then second 24 hour shift is

$132.00 to carry your pager and should you be called in, hourly pay resumes.

If you are or are not called in you are paid $132.00.

Then you are off for 72 hours to only repeat the cycle again.

We are a County owned service and handle only 911 calls. Our call volume is

roughly 950 with 80-85% transporting. We are the only service located

within our 857 sq mile county. We have no local hospital, so transport distance

is roughly 30 miles.

We are an all Frazer fleet with excellent operating equipment.
