Left brain 51 - Right brain 26. So pretty much a 2:1 ratio. What's interesting is motor/emotional/sensory/behavioral all overwhelmingly left brain delayed.BUT there were more right checks under academic characteristics than right checks in all other categories put together. So the total puts us smack dab in mid - range of moderate. Which isn't too bad. Could be worse. We'll probably do the rest of the evaluation on Monday. I think I want to read the book all the way through first - maybe twice. Then start. Hello everyone, please bare with me, for I haven’t checked-in this forum in such a long time and have so much to say and share. I stopped Biomedical intervention in almost a year. No vitamins, anti-viral and anti-fungal meds etc. but have taken a whole new different avenue. My son turned 4 yrs old this past Dec./2011 and I have been doing heavy ABA & Neurofeedback instead. After my son’s Neurologist performed a EEG & MRI, he confirmed my son had absence seizures and slower wave movement with sporadic sudden movements on one side of his brain, so he asked for me to stop all antiviral, antifungal meds, probiotics, vitamins and do

Neurofeedback to focus on balancing both hemispheres of his brain. I know my son still has gut issues, last checked in 2010, he still had Clostridia, bad yeast, fungus, arsenic, mercury, tin etc but I haven’t tested in over a year. I recently did the OATS, vitamin levels, fungus & yeast stool test, 24 urine heavy metals tests and thus far the vitamins levels checked: B12, D, Copper (which was high last year), zinc all came back normal.I know that the OATs & stool test are going to come back with some yeast and maybe still some Clostridia issues because from learning from this blog…vocal stims (he still does SHHSssss noises, whenever bored) are usually associated with bad yeast. Plus his bowels are usually not well-formed, always mustard colored and WHEUFF…just unbearable. He can

still be a little hard to engage at times, especially with his ABA tutors...because he obviously wants to avoid the task on hand, and definitely has an "Expressive Language Processing" disorder. Receptively he understands it all but has a very tough time answering back a question. He often looks like a deer in head lights whenever you ask him how was his day at Pre-School? I know he can recall things, it's just getting out his thoughts and sentences appropriately; is his challenge these days. On the brighter side, my son has been talking so more; he's increased from just labeling objects to speaking 4 word sentences; spontaneously without prompting and asking for things he wants. I was able to successfully potty train him this past summer at 3 1/2 yrs old. Although, I’m still working on evening training, he seems to have a small bladder and urinates like a racehorse. I don't see the old behaviors anymore, like flapping, spinning, staring into the light, odd left arm hand movements. He's got great motor skills, loves sports and music, plays appropriately with his hot wheels (and doesn't compulsively spin the wheels anymore), enjoys bowling and Brothers T-shirts. He even says hi to other children but again needs to learn how to make a

conversation and socialize. Hi Neurologist, explained that we have kids with neuro issues, gut issues and then the combo ones, well he’s definitely is the combo Neuro & Gut kid. With that said, I have left over, Valtrex, Difflucan, pharmaceutical brand vitamins (hope it’s all still good) and plan on adding biomedical back in, in hopes it will help will enhance his Neuro & ABA treatment and get more expressive language and help clear his gut which I know is effecting his brain…it’s all connected, as most of you already know. I’ve learned from so much self-research, different blogs, books etc that you have to attack it from every angle, and try different things to see what helps your child best. You must try something instead of nothing. So many parents I meet seem so defeated, and unwilling to try, and often listen to me with def ears (or look at me crazy). Majority has only tried the GFCF diet and have given up. They are hesitant to try biomedical or anything for that matter and as one Father of a beautiful 5 year old; ADHD/ASD child said to me recently…these were just the cards we were dealt with. Can you imagine how crushed I felt, after he said

that!! Anyways, can someone please rekindle my memory on how to start anti-viral and anti-fungal, and the probiotics protocol? I forgot, do I do the Valtrex, Difflucan & Probiotics, vitamins all at once and can start it all today or do gradually add things in and how often and the amount of dose per day. He’s 43lbs.Long e-mail, I know but had to share it all…please advise and thanks again, Irma

He's got great motor skills, loves sports and music, plays appropriately with his hot wheels (and doesn't compulsively spin the wheels anymore), enjoys bowling and Brothers T-shirts. He even says hi to other children but again needs to learn how to make a conversation and socialize. Hi Neurologist, explained that we have

kids with neuro issues, gut issues and then the combo ones, well he’s definitely is the combo Neuro & Gut kid.

Can you imagine how crushed I felt, after he said that!!

He’s 43lbs.Long e-mail, I know but had to share it all…please advise and thanks again,

Irma

Left brain 51 - Right brain 26. So pretty much a 2:1 ratio.

What's interesting is motor/emotional/sensory/behavioral all overwhelmingly left brain delayed.

BUT there were more right checks under academic characteristics than right checks in all other categories put together.

So the total puts us smack dab in mid - range of moderate. Which isn't too bad. Could be worse.

We'll probably do the rest of the evaluation on Monday. I think I want to read the book all the way through first - maybe twice. Then start. I'm excited.

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for.

Man, if this doesn't describe my kid to a tee, I don't know what does! (He's left side deficient alllllll the way)

Glad to hear your little guy is making some progress.

I would address the mustard colored poop first and foremost

Then, you will want to start one at a time so you are able to keep track of what's doing what.

Start the Valtrex first, wait two or three weeks

then begin your antifungal.

Good luck!

After my son’s Neurologist performed a EEG & MRI, he confirmed my son had absence seizures and slower wave movement with sporadic sudden movements on one side of his brain, so he asked for me to stop all antiviral, antifungal meds, probiotics, vitamins and do Neurofeedback to focus on balancing both hemispheres of his brain.

He can still be a little hard to engage at times, especially with his ABA tutors...because he obviously wants

to avoid the task on hand, and definitely has an "Expressive Language Processing" disorder.

He even says hi to other children but again needs to learn how to make a conversation and socialize. Hi Neurologist, explained that we have
