Guest guest
my name is stefanie, i have two children katie 2 and sierra 1 and am married to a career soldier terry. we live in southern kentucky. i have been familiar with price pottenger, it made all the difference in the world for me when i was recovering from the ill effects of a 12+ month dier as a vegan. at that point, i switched to raw milk ad started making my own butter and yoghurt. i have yet to find anyone herer that i can buy raw milk and fresh eggs from, but am looking (anyone have a source in or around ft. campbell?) am new to the area ao it may take awhile. i have never been a big meat eater, prefer that the meat i do eat, well, not poulty or fish, be mead rare, though after reading that pbs frontline show about beef, i was a bit repulsed. (my grnadmother called me form germany around that time to tell me that on their news it said that 500,000 people had become ill frm the effects of " dirty " meat) my husband calls me a tree hugger (his family are hog famers)and i am and admitted health food nut, lol and naturalist but i beleive in being a good steward, and i prefer to not eat animals that haven't been treated humanely. the oncditions of the cattle shown on that showwere disgutsitn, and not even animals (IMHO) shoudl suffer that way. in the meantime we drink organic milk, and regular butter, baiscally we do lots of dairy, and right now are eating meat a few times each week. basically strive for healthiness, we don't realy on the medical system, only my husband is vaxced and eat lots of fruits grains, fresh bed, and organic when we can. i'm looking forward to getting the book nourishing traditions, am trying to win it at ebay because i'm tight wad (what can i say, i'm a stay at home mom, lol) anyhoo, think this is a perfect list for me, and am so glad tohave found ya'll, stefanie
