I had to laugh at your description of your hygeinist as Attila the

Hun. I have had many Attilas in my long dental history, but I now

have the gentlest one imaginable, and she does a better job than any

of the Atillas. Unfortunatly, she has developed afib herself!

Good luck with your crown. The trick is to put yourself in a good

place in your mind while undergoing treatment, and never, ever look

at the dental instruments! >>

, thank you for your encouraging post. :) I will ask for a different

hygienist next time. Speaking of the instruments, she sort of cavalierly

tossed them onto my chest when she was finished with one and picking up another

(I was wearing a bib, but still, they landed with a thud on my clavicle. ??)

When I go in for the crown, I think I will take a valium. (Dental patient's

Little Helper.) Fortunately, my dentist is a jovial guy (who wouldn't be,

when he charges $1500+ for a crown?)
