Just a reminder to everyone. The 2nd Annual EMAT Preparedness and

Response Symposium will be held on March 17-19 in Plano at the Southfork

Hotel at 1600 North Central Expressway. We have a lot of great speakers

that will be presenting. Some of the topics that will be covered

include:

* HSEEP Overview

* COOP/COG

* National Response Framework

* Public Assistance

* 2007 Storm Season in Review

* Health Care Planning

* Public Outreach

* Hazard Mitigation

* MANY OTHERS

Our keynote speakers include Captain Al Haynes, Pilot of flight 232,

Sioux City, Iowa. He will be speaking on Teamwork in a Crisis. I've

seen this presentation at the IAEM Conference in Reno, NV, and it is

very good.

To register for the conference, you can go to www.emat-tx.org

<http://www.emat-tx.org/> . If you need to make hotel reservations, you

can go to www.southforkhotel.com <http://www.southforkhotel.com/> or

call , and ask for the EMAT rate ($70 / night). Our room

block is being released on March 2nd, and we're trying to see if we can

extend it. So, in order to ensure the guaranteed room rate, make your

reservations now.

We still have a few vendor spaces open, so if you know of a vendor, let

them know about the Symposium, and they can sign up at the EMAT website

as well www.emat-tx.org <http://www.emat-tx.org/>

We are also looking for sponsors. If you know of anyone that would be

interested in sponsoring at any level, please have them contact me at

or at (877) 306-EMAT (3628).

We hope to see all of you there! It's shaping up to be a great event!
