I dunno.I went to the parish office to make an appt with the priest who is the principal's boss (cannot deal directly with him, he's not a nice person, I would choose the A word to describe him or D. H. ) and called CPS lady back and asked if she will come to the meeting. I want someone from CPS to HEAR them say to a mom that they will do nothing special to keep a child from hurting herself.I am drained so don't want to type it all out right now... got to leave in a bit to take Gabi to doc to make sure there is a record of her being taken to the ped and speaking to " a professional. I never could get the CS in our city to understand it was ASD. My son bolted out the door and ran away from the school and down the main street. Guest guest Posted January 27, 2012 Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 I wanted to point out as part of her walk thru, the lady at CPS wanted to make sure the fridge was well-stocked and thekids could get access to food and clean water.She wanted to see that we had a full freezer and what was in it. She wanted to see that we had cereal, rice, beans, canned veggies, soup, etc. Normal stuff.SOOOO even if you are eating SCD or GAPS or Paleo or whatever, make sure you keep " normal " food in the house. My kids do get to eat all the stuff we have in the house b/c our diet is no longer casein free and we are not SCD GAPS etc. So we have all food groups covered.I am just telling you she asked about all those foods, cereal, bread, milk, meat, beans, rice.She also wanted to make sure the pool chemicals were out of reach from the kids (mine are on the locked side of the pool fence.) And wanted to see their rooms.My kids rooms are painted really pretty, they have tvs, toys, the works up in there. Nice bed sets too. So she was satisfied... I am sure that some people have been in dire straits and have their kids sleep on mattresses on the floor. Dude, if you do, I would just make sure you make the bed everyday so it don't look all " crack house. Well thanks to what you all have posted in the last month,my home was tidier and the first sentence out of my mouthwas "good I am glad they called b/c I want to know how theyplan to protect my autistic daughter from biting herself!"She didn't miss a beat and said "Ooooohhhh, she's autistic."That was before she even got out of the car. I am so sorry. I dealt with them last month. It is the second time that his ASD has caused people to misread situations. I wish they would leave us alone, and know we love our children. I was glad to be able to say she was on one prescription.ONE sounded " normal, " know what I mean? Zero or 5 would have sounded wonk. I wanted to point out as part of her walk thru, the lady at CPS wanted to make sure the fridge was well-stocked and thekids could get access to food and clean water.She wanted to see that we had a full freezer and what was in it. She wanted to see that we had cereal, rice, beans, canned veggies, soup, etc. Normal stuff.SOOOO even if you are eating SCD or GAPS or Paleo or whatever, make sure you keep " normal " food in the house. My kids do get to eat all the stuff we have in the house b/c our diet is no longer casein free and we are not SCD GAPS etc. So we have all food groups covered.I am just telling you she asked about all those foods, cereal, bread, milk, meat, beans, rice.She also wanted to make sure the pool chemicals were out of reach from the kids (mine are on the locked side of the pool fence.) And wanted to see their rooms.My kids rooms are painted really pretty, they have tvs, toys, the works up in there. Nice bed sets too. So she was satisfied... I am sure that some people have been in dire straits and have their kids sleep on mattresses on the floor. Dude, if you do, I would just make sure you make the bed everyday so it don't look all " crack house. LOLI will have to type it out in a sep post from the beginning, but I go on and on, it will be a book and I usually get worked up when I type emotional stuff so that is why I hesitate to do it.But I will type it up and not leave you hanging much longer. Just need to be in a good mood till bed time and then I can dredge it all up. Hahha. :-)The lady laughed several times at my comments about various things.
