Then someone should ask why they do not police the medics who inject aluminium in 4wk old babies!!!!Sent from my iPod Oh also, the lady wanted to know if she was on meds. I was glad to be able to say she was on one prescription.ONE sounded "normal," know what I mean? Zero or 5 would have sounded wonk. I wanted to point out as part of her walk thru, the lady at CPS wanted to make sure the fridge was well-stocked and thekids could get access to food and clean water.She wanted to see that we had a full freezer and what was in it. She wanted to see that we had cereal, rice, beans, canned veggies, soup, etc. Normal stuff.SOOOO even if you are eating SCD or GAPS or Paleo or whatever, make sure you keep"normal" food in the house. My kids do get to eat all the stuff we have in the house b/c our diet is no longer casein free and we are not SCD GAPS etc. So we have all food groups covered.I am just telling you she asked about all those foods, cereal, bread, milk, meat, beans, rice.She also wanted to make sure the pool chemicals were out of reach from the kids (mine are on the locked side of the pool fence.) And wanted to see their rooms.My kids rooms are painted really pretty, they have tvs, toys, the works up in there. Nice bed sets too. So she was satisfied... I am sure that some people have been in dire straits and have their kids sleep on mattresses on the floor. Sorry, I have been too disorganized these days so missed it. A thought just crossed my mind. Was reading about phenol sensitivity and vitamin b6 relation. If u get a chance look into that as vitamin b6 can enhance phenol sensitivity which could also trigger increased sensitivity. I will keep your family in my prayers. Guest guest Posted January 27, 2012 Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 In all fairness to them, they are looking out for the child and they don't know what we do so far as what we live with day in and day out.They are likely trained to " make sure the kids are eating a well balanced diet " and have no idea the lengths we go thru on special diets to make sure that happens.So just keeping normal stuff on hand is probably easier than explaining all about GAPS and SCD and having doctors notes etc.They are brainwashed like we once were and the agents themselves are just doing what they were trained to do. They probably see a lot of messed up stuff too so we don't know the context of what they see.Alberta; she asked me if Alek was also ASD and I had to go thru his long ass story, and also had to bring him up b/c CPS was out here Ap 11 2009 day of his first seizure. So I had to go thru his 4 dx and his whole history... which included the B6. A bit later I told her part of the reason I was not doing daycare anymore was my own kids' needs but also I had two surgeries andmy husband had one... so I mentioned lapband, we talked about lapband vs GB and in this conversation I said " I take a lot of vitamins, but with GB you HAVE to take them! " so I was not secretive about vitamin use, but my vitamins are all in the pantry thanks to the events that happened here on the group in the last months, so she didn't see a ton of bottles and go o.O  Wow! that is crazy that they can decide for you what they think your child should eat with no regard to allergies or sensitivities. My child has been gf/cf/sf for three years. I would hate to see what they think of that. This is an outrage!!! I try to stay calm when people are so narrow minded and judge me for what I am doing because they simply are not educated on it and do not understand. This illness or what ever you want to call it teaches us not to judge others, lots of patience and compassion. What we go through is similar to traumatic stress disorder, and we do it because we have to and know it is the right thing. We would do anything to help our children. All of us deserve Mother/ Father of the century awards. I applaud all of you for the measures you go through for your children. Or there could be like on Biggest Loser and we all go live on campus to learn how to do SCD/GAPS:-)  i just got a great idea for money for all of us!!!!!!!!.......ready......?  we should have a reality show called the b12 group! it would be the most exciting grip the edge of your seat show on telivision ever!! Guest guest Posted January 28, 2012 Report Share Posted January 28, 2012 In all respect Toni social workers r not dieticians or work with nutrition and as far as I know(work wth social workers) thier course does not even cover that nor do most doctors soo I would question their rational on any advice or judgement on that topic....Sent from my iPod In all fairness to them, they are looking out for the child and they don't know what we do so far as what we live with day in and day out.They are likely trained to "make sure the kids are eating a well balanced diet" and have no idea the lengths we go thru on special diets to make sure that happens.So just keeping normal stuff on hand is probably easier than explaining all about GAPS and SCD and having doctors notes etc.They are brainwashed like we once were and the agents themselves are just doing what they were trained to do. They probably see a lot of messed up stuff too so we don't know the context of what they see.Alberta; she asked me if Alek was also ASD and I had to go thru his long ass story, and also had to bring him up b/c CPS was out here Ap 11 2009 day of his first seizure. So I had to go thru his 4 dx and his whole history... which included the B6. A bit later I told her part of the reason I was not doing daycare anymore was my own kids' needs but also I had two surgeries andmy husband had one... so I mentioned lapband, we talked about lapband vs GB and in this conversation I said "I take a lot of vitamins, but with GB you HAVE to take them!" so I was not secretive about vitamin use, but my vitamins are all in the pantry thanks to the events that happened here on the group in the last months, so she didn't see a ton of bottles and go o.O Wow! that is crazy that they can decide for you what they think your child should eat with no regard to allergies or sensitivities. My child has been gf/cf/sf for three years. I would hate to see what they think of that. This is an outrage!!!
