Guest guest
I was surprised to hear President Obama call out " protecting our kids from mercury poisoning " in the state of the union address last night. Does anyone know if there's an actual policy or legislation he was referring to? Now, I'm confident a farmer can contain a milk spill without a federal agency looking over his shoulder. (Applause.) Absolutely. But I will not back down from making sure an oil company can contain the kind of oil spill we saw in the Gulf two years ago. (Applause.) I will not back down from protecting our kids from mercury poisoning, or making sure that our food is safe and our water is clean. I will not go back to the days when health insurance companies had unchecked power to cancel your policy, deny your coverage, or charge women differently than men. (Applause.) Guest guest
Wow - I had no idea he has said that. Do you know when/the speech/the audience? What is the reason for the fine - just a punitive measure? What about those who have medical waivers? Would they have to vaccinate despite the medical concerns in order to avoid being fined? That's crazy. He has already said he would back legislation to fine parents who choose to not vaccinate their kids. :(Sent from my iPhone maybe i am cynical but i think he was talking in more of a metaphor....i mean if he meant that literally then that would include monitering levels of mercury in dentisty for children...flu shots....or maybe he was just talking about fish? i dont see obama goin against the goverment and attacking the elephant in the room....that goverment makes sure everyone ignores...nahhhh To: mb12valtrex Sent: Wednesday, January 25, 2012 11:19 PM Subject: OT: Obama's state of the union address last night I was surprised to hear President Obama call out " protecting our kids from mercury poisoning " in the state of the union address last night. Does anyone know if there's an actual policy or legislation he was referring to?Now, I'm confident a farmer can contain a milk spill without a federal agency looking over his shoulder. Guest guest
The government is taking away our rights more each day. My hubby is a general surgeon and can not even prescribe meds for his own family anymore, especially politically incorrect prescriptions , like abx of lyme. Any administration that is for big government is for taking away American autonomy . That is the autonomy to choose what they need and want in their pursuit of life, liberty ,and happiness.
