Sharon,

Do you happen to remember any of the anti fatigue drugs you have been on? May I ask what caused you to stop taking them?

I am curious because of my severe fatigue......I do think no longer working helps.......I already miss working, I do and I want to go back.....If only it was "mind over matter" and I could PUSH through it all, but sadly, I cannot :(

Welcome Deanna! We have another member from WA, too. Have you contacted Copaxone to see if they have a drug assistance program you would qualify for? We just recently had info posted here on the group about the HIGH cost of the new oral drug. It's going to be much higher than the current CRAB-T drugs. I was diagnosed at age 47 and was told by one doc that I was "too old" for MS. What the heck??? lol Unfortunately he was wrong;)Do you take anything for the fatigue? There are drugs available but they all have their drawbacks, of course. I have been on several of the anti-fatigue drugs but now I'm on none. I am able to manage my fatigue mostly without drugs. But then I no longer work so that makes a difference.I'm glad you found us!hugs

Hi JenThe first drug was Amantadine. Unfortunately, it did zero for me. My neuro said it only works in about 50% of MSers. The second drug was Provigil. The doc gave me samples of it to try. It worked! But my insurance would not pay for it at all. So then I went on Ritalin. That worked for me and was way cheaper. After a few years it quit working for me and just made my blood pressure go up. Good luck finding the perfect drug for you! SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in

back to caffeine - I am a tea drinker - provigil put me to sleep - it also boosts the tylenol I take with devil's claw and cat's claw

the only two pain meds I can take are Tigan for migraines and Lactimal for the MS - Medicare will not pay for the real stuff and I am allergic to the generic - on a scale of 1 - 10 I get a 12+ migraine if I take either one - pukey and light and sound sensitive

I am allergic to aspirin and NSAIDs God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.

Cait do you have fibromyalgia by any chance? I do and the fatigue is something else. You are in my prayers.
