Guest guest
Thanks for the imput , I sure do appreciate it. I think some step moms get a bad rap because of the " evil stepmother " thing. I love my step kids with all my heart and they know they can come to me for anything. has told me that I'm " her best step mom ever!! " I laugh and tell her that I'm her only step mom and she'll giggle and say, " you know what I mean. " And I do. We have a great relationship. As for Kim and I, well, we talk on the phone and we get along as long as I know my place with and , but the minute I go a bit further, she is the first to put me back to where I belong. and I made strawberry jam for her grandma (Kim's mom) a few weeks ago. was so proud of herself for helping. She brought the jar of jam with her (to give to her grandma) when it was time to go and when she came back here a few days later, she told me that her mom threw it away because I shouldn't have allowed to bring home something she made here. To me that was just plain mean and petty too. As far as Ozzie and Kim making a decision together...it doesn't happen. She definitely trys to make ALL the decisions for the kids and she definitely wants the control. BUT she doesn't want the kids all the time. We have them over 60% of the time. Matter of fact...after we got home from Kansas, we figured she would want them this weekend, nope, Ozzie got a call Thursday night and was told to come get them...she had plans for this weekend (mind you, we dropped them off to her Tuesday night after they had been with us for nearly 2 weeks). There is other stuff too...the haircut thing is just a small thing compared to alot of other stuff. It's frustrating!! That is pretty cool that your stepmom was there for you during a real hard time in your life. I love my kids...all 4 of them!!!! Hugs, Donna > Well, here at our house it sounds alot like what Andi posted. Charlie > goes through times when he just can't do anything without Mark or I > or someone. We laugh figure it's an off day make up silly songs, etc. > Works for us. The advice about the haircut is good too. Mark and I > have an agreement any hair cut different than what the kids have > leaving the house, we both talk about first. So far not a problem, > Mitch likes 2on top,1 on the sides. no problem. Now Charlie, > whoever can get him to hold still and let someone cut his hair more > power to them!!! Maybe, if Oz and ex can come up with some basics > that are agreed on such as when he should be doin xyz and make it a > team effort. If shhe doesn't feel threatened by you, cause you are so > great, it will be better. My stepmom and mom to this day still get > along and were always thankful for the others strengths vs their > weaknesses. My " step " mom came into a crummy situation, but she came > out smelling like a rose to this day, and she's remarried to someone > not my dad!! she amde the difference in me living or dieing once when > I was about 16 and thought life wasn't worht being around for. i know > she didn't know that at the time, but she did cause she cared. Keep > doing what you're doing, no kid can have too much love from too many > people....hugs~~kelly

Guest guest
Thanks! And he is SUCH a beautiful German Shepherd - until you see him standing, and he has that totally ridiculous curled-up Malamute tail stuck on the end... :-D Makes me think of " I'm a little tea-pot...
