He was a thirty-four year veteran of the San Fire Department. “The loss of has created an irreplaceable void for the family of the San Fire Department,†said Fire Chief Hood. “He was a dedicated life saving professional who strived to protect the welfare of the citizens of San and will be truly missed by all.†Dennis joined the Fire Department in June of 1973 and was promoted to the rank of Fire Engineer in October of 1984. His last assignment was at Fire Station # 14 where he served with distinction. “ Dennis Jr. is the example for every young firefighter and paramedic that comes into this department,†said Professional Firefighters Association President Steele. “ was available for work whenever he was needed and he never complained. He always had nothing but respect for other co-workers and the citizens he served.†The cause of death will be determined by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.
