Trouble with changing drugs?

Clear DayWhen my husband was switched from atenolol to sotalol, the first day he

began to feel terrible, had stomach issues for a week, and now feels fine. My

husband thought the atenolol conflicted with the sotalol, and maybe he should

have stopped atenolol for a day and not taken the sotalol the first day to avoid

conflict between the two medicines. His cardiologist had no information whether

the drugs were ever studied when combined. Has anyone else had trouble when

changing drugs? Has anyone's doctor given them a break from medication when

changing drugs?
