Guest guest
I don't know that I am actually allergic to aspirin but I can't take it or any of the motin/anti-inflammatory drugs because of severe stomach pain. I mean really severe pain! So I take tylenol very infrequently. As far as caffeine goes--I am actually less sleepy/fatigued since giving up coffee and tea over a year ago. Let's face it Anne. We just have weird bodies:)Now tell me about the devils claw. What is that for exactly? My granddaughter grew a huge devil's claw plant by accident in her garden this past summer. My neuro said it only works in about 50% of MSers. The second drug was Provigil. The doc gave me samples of it to try. It worked! But my insurance would not pay for it at all. So then I went on Ritalin. That worked for me and was way cheaper. After a few years it quit working for me and just made my blood pressure go up. Good luck finding the perfect drug for you! May I ask what caused you to stop taking them? I am curious because of my severe fatigue......I do think no longer working helps.......I already miss working, I do and I want to go back.....If only it was "mind over matter" and I could PUSH through it all, but sadly, I cannot Jen H Re: NEW MEMBER introduction --dswentz Welcome Deanna! We have another member from WA, too. Have you contacted Copaxone to see if they have a drug assistance program you would qualify for? We just recently had info posted here on the group about the HIGH cost of the new oral drug. It's going to be much higher than the current CRAB-T drugs. I was diagnosed at age 47 and was told by one doc that I was "too old" for MS. What the heck??? lol Unfortunately he was wrong;)Do you take anything for the fatigue? There are drugs available but they all have their drawbacks, of course. I have been on several of the anti-fatigue drugs but now I'm on none. I am able to manage my fatigue mostly without drugs. But then I no longer work so that makes a difference.I'm glad you found us!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I'm the same way with aspirin Sharon, even if it's got the enteric coating. It also gives me hives. My body reacts non casebookwise to any drug it takes me ages to work up the courage to swallow anything new. I recall in university, my dr gave me a few ritalin to help me keep awake during exams. I had 4 finals in 2 days. The darn pill knocked me out instead! I never knew about using devils claws capsules. I do use it as a muscle rub. Not as good as 's though ... hugs, Cait
Guest guest
Herbs won’t hurt you – manufactured drugs are screwed up – look at the lawsuits on the tv commercials – we all have fragile immune systems – manufactured meds put too much stress on our bodies From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of xstitcher Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2010 8:47 PM To: MSersLife Subject: Re: Anne, caffeine and devil's claw.....(was) Anti Fatigue Meds I'm the same way with aspirin Sharon, even if it's got the enteric coating.
