Paramedic Squad Response Postition(s) Available

NorthStar EMS is currently accepting applications for vacancies on

the Paramedic Squad Response vehicle. The paramedic Squad personnel

will be responsible for responding with and assisting crews assigned

to ALS and/or MICU responses. The position also requires assisting

with bariatric transports, marketing and being available as an

additional resource for on duty crews. The position will be on a 12

or 14 hour rotating shift, working primarily from 2pm to 2am. (Times

and hours may be adjusted prior to assignment) This position will

require independent work and an increase in responsibilities for the

selected applicants.

The qualified applicant will have the following:

1-year experience as an EMT-P or LP

National Registry EMT-P (preferred)

Knowledge of the Houston and surrounding area and facilities

The selected candidate will be required to have the following items

at the end of 60 days employment:

ACLS

ITLS or PHTLS

PALS

GEMS

BLS (CPR)

BLS Instructor

Advanced credential certified by NorthStar EMS

Field Training Officer status certified by NorthStar EMS
