Guest guest
Hello guys! I'm so happy and proud that I have to share with you. Specially because you are the part of the story too. More than one year I found you and all about BPD. It changed my life ( with a great help from you) so I decided to publish one book about borderline in my country. There are NO informations about BP here..none! ..So I choose to translate SWOE because it is for all range of people not just adult kids. This was the only way that people would get some info. Yesterday I had first copies of the book on my table!!!! Hura!!! It was tough. All people who are working on this project are volunteers (but professionals). We all have very very busy lives ...but we did it in our free time anyway. I started with translations and than check the book with professional translators and psychiatrist and psychologist. I was lucky to find them ( they are all great) because even professionals knows nothing about BPD or ignore it here. And while the project was rising more and more people offered their help. It is nice to feel that people are still capable to connect together for a good and positive reason and do something just because it must be done :-) But the toughest part was my transformation......I have to read every word , every sentence n-time...thinking about the real meaning and s and how to tell that in my language to be perfect (I even had to invent some new words!) while thinking and processing my own experience with BP . People who overlooked the book said it is a very good translation ( and great book too of course..) And I'm in much better condition than I was a year ago too :-) So I'm trilled. But now I'm in the phase of organizing press conference, writing articles and trying to figure out how the h***l to tell people who never heard about BPD what is all about (possibly ) on one or two pages...:-( My mother ( for the ones who remember my story) is ok now. Still borderline but somehow we manage to find some balance. May be not for long but anyway. Thank you all again! Without you all it would be impossible to do it or much, much harder :-) PS: Do you maybe know how much people suffer from personality disorder ( all of them)? I read somewhere it is around 6-9 %. Do somebody from you have " official " numbers? Annie maybe :-) greetings to all yenaine
Guest guest
Hi Yenaine, Although you didn't mention it, I'm going to assume that you worked with the author of the book, Randi Kreger, who is also the owner of this site, or with her permission and authorization on your translation of her book so it could be published in your country. If so, then congratulations to both of you! I think it can only do good to educate the general public in all countries about borderline pd and how it negatively impacts not only the person with bpd but can severely damage the bpd person's children as well. I'm glad that your relationship with your bpd mother has improved and that you are feeling more emotionally healed. That's wonderful! RE the percent of those with bpd in the general population, I think that whatever percent is given as " official " is probably way, way off, because most of the individuals with personality disorder (bpd in particular) do not seek treatment, and only those who are formally diagnosed by a psychologist or psychiatrist are counted in the official statistics. -Annie > > Hello guys! > > I'm so happy and proud that I have to share with you. Guest guest
Yes. My friend has a publishing house and she offered to publish this book. And we contacted Randi's publisher and her too and we take care about legal issues. Thank you for your answer. Y > > > > Hello guys! > > > > I'm so happy and proud that I have to share with you. Guest guest
Yenaine, this is terrific news. What an accomplishment and a gift to your country. Randy is blessed to have you to translate her book and do so much work to support her. I wish you much success. AFB > > Hello guys! > > I'm so happy and proud that I have to share with you.
