Our minds and attitudes have so much to do with our health, don't they. You really went through some difficult times and it is great to hear how well you feel now. I came off the antidepressants last year, but just lately I have noticed the depression gradually creeping back. I have just started back on atenolol because my afib has been getting out of control and the echo I had showed left and right enlargement of the atrium. I am beginning to wonder if it is the afib that is causing the depression, I get really tired yet because of the afib I am unable to sleep all night, I think I will need to go back on the antidepressants. I saw the cardiologist last week and she is going to refer me to an EP specialist at Harefield hospital in London but I may have to wait some time, she has done an ECG, echo and I will also need to have a holter monitor recording done, I have also got to see a gynecologist because of sever bleeding caused by the warfarin. I just seam to find it very difficult to concentrate on doing things just lately, I really need to get my head round everything that is going on. ine
Guest guest
ine you have a lot of health issues going on and that is bound to tire anyone. I read a great line in one of my Buddhist books: " Good health is not the absence of illness...it is the state of being undefeated by illness. " I suppose few of us come through our lives without sooner or later facing serious illness of one kind or another; chronic problems such as ours kind of drain the joy right out of us - we have to work hard to keep the right attitude. There are many of us out here and I know you have the support of each - we don't have to solve our lives or our problems all at once, one good hour at a time will do, won't it. Wishing you better days, Lil In a message dated 4/5/2006 12:24:58 P.M.
