I think it depends on one's individual health concerns. It's a risk I am not willing to take. So I understand where you are coming from as well. I think the point of other health problems is an important issue when considering reusing lancets. A person's dr could add input.
Guest guest
Eunice, not me :-) I have to be really careful about infections so I am very well versed in both how TO get them and how NOT TO get them! And, yupper, I've used a lancet more than once too! LOL :-) JUDITH Hi Judith, That is up to each individual. I do not change every time. Some people do, others do not. hugs Eunice -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
You can bye generic brand lancets at Wal-Mart for just $5.00 a hundred. I just bought my first box and they work great. I now use just one lancet a day. I use the one touch ultra-soft lancer. Bill.
Guest guest
I once saw a picture in one of my diabetes mags of a needle, magnified, and what it looks like after mulitiple uses. I found this online at the BD website http://www.bddiabetes.com/us/download/3a_siteselection_eng.pdf On page 5, it shows a needle magnified. I will say one thing...I re-use a lot of my supplies (I am on an insulin pump, no injections). The lancets, once dulled, will be MORE painful when poking your finger. A fresh lancet, straight out of the box, a " seasoned " diabetic shouldn't even feel ;o) > > IS it really necessary to change the lancets each time we test??? > Can it be used at least for the day?? > > JOYCE > > > > > > > > Diabetes homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/diabetes/ > > To unsubscribe to this group, send an email to: > diabetes-unsubscribe > Hope you come back soon! >
