Guest guest
I am new to this group. I have a question for anyone. Has anyone come across information regarding the bacteria H. Pylori and its link to AF. A Dr. in Italy has linked it as a cause and states that controlling the infection with antibiotics reduces or eliminates the heart problem. Guest guest
Here's a link to a news article about the study connecting H. Pylori to AF. I found it very interesting and had an H.P. test, which was unfortunately negative. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=26239> H > I am new to this group. Guest guest
I read the same study, got tested, but was negaitve for h pylori. My cardiologist said it was nonsense and he had never heard of the connection. But it is certainly worth looking at as a causal factor. > > I am new to this group. I have a question for anyone. Guest guest
I remember something about this a few months ago. Of course now I have forgotten. My brain hurts. I will try and find out and post here if I find anything. Sue > > I am new to this group. I have a question for anyone. Has anyone > come across information regarding the bacteria H. Guest guest
Don't you just love how a doctor can dismiss something as nonsense, just because it is not something he knows about? Guest guest
I was daignosed with ulcer back in 1992 which was bleeding severely & kept me at hospital for one week. I do not recall the name, but my doctor said that a bacteria has caused the problem. My afib episodes got worse since then & my miteral valve was leaking that cost me an open heart surgery in 1995. I am 45 years old now & thanks God, no signs of ulcer yet, but afib is still with me & 2 ablations worked only partially. It makes sense that this bacteria can cause the afib, i will ask my doctor to trace it in my body. Alfred susan andrews somniacismyname@...> wrote: I remember something about this a few months ago.
