Guest guest
Interesting...it didn't apply to me though..I had the test and was H.Pylori negative. I have been wondering for a long time about how many A-fibbers ever used TENS machines or any type of electrical stimuation machines (such as those used to stimulate contraction of muscles using elctrcal stimulation) similar to those used by people wanting to 'tighten' tummy muscles etc etc........ ......you know the kind? I have just wondered ..as they are often used by those who train are are fit, or have sustained training unjuries (For pain relief) or in my case..I used one for back pain relief for many years after a car accident..and a lot of athletic, or people who train, seem to get Afib. The manufacturers always stipulate that they shouldn't be used if a person has a heart pacemaker as they can interfere with it (Obviously because they send electrical waves through the body) , or be used over or 'near' the heart. I know very little about electricity and the body, but I do know that once an electrical wave is generated (by any means) it has to travel .. .....maybe I am on a completely wild thought pattern here...but I do wonder about putting electrical stimulation into the body as so many things in the body use electricity to function normally. Has anyone come across information regarding the bacteria H. Pylori and its link to AF. A Dr. in Italy has linked it as a cause and states that controlling the infection with antibiotics reduces or eliminates the heart problem.
