Guest guest
I received this in the " Looking Good " newsletter and thought I would share with you. I have a feeling I'm going to need this after this weekend. LOL I'll not have the water as hot as recommended, though hugs Eunice Here's how to create a great home sauna beauty treatment which will relax and benefit your skin and hair if you need it. Place a plastic chair or bench in the shower. A patio chair works great. Turn on the shower and let the steam fill the shower. Make sure you aim the shower head away from you so you don't get burned. If your hair is dry, apply olive oil to the hair, concentrating on the ends. Let the steam saturate the hair and then wrap it in a towel while you are sitting... Mix 1/4 cup of olive oil with 2 teaspoons of salt. Use this mixture if you have dry skin. Rub the mixture on your feet, legs, arms etc. and gently massage the areas, working up to the neck area. rub your hands together like you are washing your hands to benefit the hands also. Sit back and relax in the chair and let the steam do its magic. Judge the time you can handle, afford, and enjoy! Be VERY careful when it is time to shampoo your hair and wash off the olive oil. I would HIGHLY suggest putting an old towel on the bottom of the tub or shower to prevent any slipping or accidents. Use a body wash in a washcloth or on a loofah and gently scrub your body where the oil and salt are. Shampoo and condition as usual. Dry yourself off and apply a light moisturizer scented with a few drops of your favorite essential oil and you'll feel like you just came home from an expensive spa!!!
