Guest guest
Have any of you had tremendous results doing HBOT? We purchased a chamber about a year and a half ago and my son did 40 hours of therapy. I only saw minimal results. I am thinking about selling our chamber. Anyone interested? Guest guest
We went to Eddie Zant in Destin FLorida. He did the deep HBOT. We did see tremendous improvement. It was recommended we do it again recently. To: "mb12valtrex " <mb12valtrex > Sent: Friday, January 27, 2012 12:00 PM Subject: HBOT Have any of you had tremendous results doing HBOT? Guest guest
All three, well, now four of the DAN doctors we have seen did not recommend higher pressure dives. They said lower was more beneficial. Our new DAN does not believe in HBOT. He thinks it causes damage. I have also heard that deeper pressure pushes the toxic metals deeper into brain tissues. So much controversy on both sides. It made sense to me to oxygenate the tissues for better blood flow. On one hand, I have this chamber sitting in my game room and have not used it in a year and feel like we could use the money to do other things for our child. Then on the other hand I want to hold on to it because it may be useful at some point. Something funny: Anytime I have workers doing little projects in our home, they think my husband is an astronaut because we have the chamber and live a stones throw from NASA. Ha Ha! We live on Space Center BLVD. LOL! Guest guest
We use Dr. Soto in Santa Beach as our DAN doctor. He and Dr.Zant worked together giving talks with the Autism Education Center in Panama City Florida. The HBOT was done in conjunction with the heavy metal chelation. We alternated. All of it seemed to be beneficial. I had two others who had heavy metals that we treated for it as well, they didn't have ASD though. The oldest had the ASD and Lyme and he is still not well, but has definitely improved in many ways. Guest guest
I am certain that all of the doctors have valid points. My son had been getting IV chelation for years before trying high pressure HBOT at 2.0 which can be helpful for Lyme. The lower pressures at 1.5 and 1.75 did not help my son. But the combination of HBOT at 2.0 and IVIG helped him to regain speech. He is far from recovery or from being a gifted conversationalist. Of course, high pressure HBOT is not helpful for everyone, but for my son, I think it gave IVIG the extra boost to really help him in that area, but he has a long way to go still. I am really glad I pursued high pressure HBOT and wish I could find a clinic who would take him even deeper than 2.0. It made my son feel good and he asks to go back for more HBOT on a weekly basis, but it is cost prohibitive so we have had to stop for now. > > > > We use Dr. Soto in Santa Beach as our DAN doctor. Guest guest
Hello, I live about 5 minutes from Dr. Soto and Dr. Zant's offices.... my son is twenty and has more of a expressive language issues.. processing problems... he is hyperlexic as this is a lanaguage learning disorder. I wonder if HBOT would help. I ha ve thought about it for years. We did tons of bio medical when he was dx at 3. But ..learned naturally all kids his age did except language. He potty trained himself in both areas, chose his own clothes, could see which was right or left shoe. He could button , snap and zip on his own. All before 4 years of age. He read .. auto matic decoding skills and poor comphrension common with hyperlexia. But it is like something has a vice grip on his temporal lobbes. He has a hard time but getting better witth who, why, when, where, how... He had all those mystery rashes after exposure to chickenpox at age 5 months at a birthday party. All those kids and some adults broke out except my two. But my son had a rash suddenly appear six weeks later and kept coming and going until age 5 or so. Anyway.. I may get an appointment with one of these doctors.. thanks, Lia HBOT > > > > > > > >Have any of you had tremendous results doing HBOT? We purchased a chamber about a year and a half ago and my son did 40 hours of therapy. I only saw minimal results. I am thinking about selling our chamber. Anyone interested? > >Kerri > > > > >
Guest guest
I found both of them to be very compassionate. My son also has the diagnosis of temporal lobe disorder. His spect scan even showed abnormality in the temporal lobes. He also has language learning disabilities and has processing problems. Since we started the Deplin and Lamictal I see an improvement. Guest guest
Well, I thought we were doing low pressure in our in home chamber but after reading your message, Georgia, we were doing 3.0 or 3 PSI. I thought that was low. You may want to look into purchasing a home unit. The cost evens out to be about the same or less than going to a facility to do them. My chamber goes to 4.0.
