Guest guest
Dear nne,...now its your turn for me to say "I'll pray for YOU"! :-) I know all about worrying. Seems no matter how much I try and turn everything over to God, there's still a part of me that still worries. I'm sorry your son didn't get his job. Hopefully something will come up "asap" for him. I have a feeling many families are having to double up during these times. We've had to do it a few times with both our kids. As long as they help out and that needs to be made clear from the start, it might not be too bad. Might take a few weeks to adjust, but hopefully they will realize they are there NOT as guests. It was always the added noise that was hard for me to get use to. Hopefully you can have a retreat area when things get too much. Let us know how it goes. :-) Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Guest guest
Thanks for the prayers Jackie. They mean so much. I son helps out every time he visits. He loves to cook so until he gets a job he would cook or at least help. He did all the laundry the other day when we had to take my Aunt for the first ultrasound. Unfortunately his wife won't be able to do much. He sent an email to their local Wis. tv station that does make overs and explained about her Huntington's disease and they gave her a makeover. We just finished watching it and it was SO sad. She can't control the movement of her facial muscles and her body jerks like someone with Parkinson's disease. It was so sad to see. Eventually she will have to go to a nursing home when he can no longer take care of her. It could be a year or several years. He hopes she doesn't have to go for several years and can spend as much time as possible with their little 7 yr old daughter. I had tears in my eyes. Hugs nne To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world""May the Lord Bless you and keep you,May the Lord Make his face shine upon you, and give you Peace...Forever"Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Lifehttp://breastcancerpatientssoulmatesforlife.bravehost.com/ Anxiety Depression and Breast Cancerhttp://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AnxietyDepressionandBreastCancerAngel Feather Loomerwww.angelfeatherloomer.blogspot.comThe Cancer Clubwww.cancerclub.com RE: whatcha been doin'?To: mserslife Date: Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 10:40 AM I've been doing a lot of worrying. Guest guest
Ahhh, nne it brings tears to my eyes too. And relief that you have such an attentive son. My kids always reverted back to their pre-adult years and acted like mom and dad were the ones who took care of everything. Don't get me wrong, they helped out a little, but not as much as we needed them too. I just don't seem to get it into their heads that mom and dad can't do everything they use to anymore. So glad your son helps, and how sweet he is to help with his G-Aunt too. I'm praying her ultra sound comes back as benign. I didn't know Huntingtons was like Parkinsons. Does she have medicines that can stop the jerking? That would be hard to be around, not because you don't want to see it, but not knowing how to ease it. {{{{{{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}}}}} Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Guest guest
There are some meds they can give her. I believe its something they give to people with Parkinsons. We have been very blessed with our kids. Well they aren't kids anymore, they are 43,42 and 41. They never got into trouble as kids. The boys joined the fire/ambulance when they were still in high school. It was a volunteer dept. That kept them busy plus they were Boy Scouts and worked their way up to Eagle Scouts. Plus they did lawn mowing and some odd jobs for a neighbor. Jeannine did baby sitting and washed dishes at the VFW on weekends. As adults they are still very good. Always willing to help someone if they need anything. Things sure have changed since they were kids. I wouldn't want to be raising kids now. Guest guest
I'm with you nne. I remember being the timid little nerd that let other girls tell who I could play with but the bullying now is terrible. Just hearing about that poor young girl committing suicide so she wouldn't have to testify against that 18 yr old yesterday is heartbreaking ... hugs, Cait RE: whatcha been doin'?To: mserslife Date: Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 10:40 AM I've been doing a lot of worrying. Guest guest
How tough. Your son will need lots of support. And his poor wife. It must be very hard on her, especially with having such a young daughter. Prayers will continue for your son and his wife.love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
