Guest guest
So, where does one find a card that reads: Dear Fada, you really botched the job, you were an utterly miserable person to be born to . . . but I've had enough therapy to find peace and I wish you well. By the way, don't call. Love, " That One Over There " (My father never called me by name. He would just flick his head in my general direction and say, " well, that one over there . . .) Hmmmm. . . Anyone else care to add their version? Blessings, Karla
Guest guest
Right now I'm feeling less than charitable toward fada after a rather crappy weekend. So, here's mine: Dear Fada, F**k you. Guest guest
I can relate. I got mine a sweater from goodwill for $4. they all know I am cheap but I always get really nice stuff, this one is Izod Lacoste and probably sold for a hundred bucks or so, it's brand new. that's how I roll. I am so over it. I just want to move away and I want it to be done. I don' know why I feel this way, probably the heat and no air-conditioning to take the edge off. > > So, where does one find a card that reads: Dear Fada, you really botched the job, you were an utterly miserable person to be born to . . . but I've had enough therapy to find peace and I wish you well. Guest guest
My father's day card would read " Thanks for never protecting me and for always taking a back seat. Thanks for never sticking up for me and just standing there when my mom would scream, yell and throw things at me. " AJ > > So, where does one find a card that reads: Dear Fada, you really botched the job, you were an utterly miserable person to be born to . . . but I've had enough therapy to find peace and I wish you well. Guest guest
Mine would read " Thanks for leaving me in the sole care of a crazy woman. A woman that you had the education and ability to know was crazy. Thanks for on top of that having the nerve to haunt my adult life and act as if I owed you a relationship for being an absentee father. You tore up your parent card a long, long time ago. Guest guest
Holly - Nice! That works well, I think! Put a cheesy photo on the cover, and I'll drop $3.50 for it! Guest guest
Eliza - " You tore up your parent card a long, long time ago. " Wow. That says it all. Sorry you have a nut-job where a father should be. I guess I'm sorry for all of us. Guest guest
Oh, yeah, they should print these cards, because I'd need this one too, " Thanks for never protecting me and for always taking a back seat. Thanks for never sticking up for me and just standing there when my mom would scream, yell and throw things at me. " I might add, " And you continue to stand by your woman to this day. Good for you. Too bad you sacrificed both of your children to do it. "
Guest guest
My boss said to me today " did you go see your dad yesterday? " Me " Oh gawd no!!!! " And then silence. HA HA HA HA shocked the poor old waif. I guess she never realized that their is more to life than fear, obligation and guilt. I know enough about her life after 5 years sharing a small space that I believe that is all her life is made up of. > ** > > > Oh, yeah, they should print these cards, because I'd need this one too, > " Thanks for never protecting me and for always taking a back seat. Guest guest
Girlscout, you crack me up!!! I would love to have seen the look on her face! Yes, waifs don't like it when others don't tow the line as they do. But down deep, they're just jealous. > > > ** > > > > > > Oh, yeah, they should print these cards, because I'd need this one too, > > " Thanks for never protecting me and for always taking a back seat. Guest guest
Ha!!! After thinking about it last night, I decided that she was probably just using that as an opening to tell me how exhausted she was from entertaining her family on Sunday and cooking. . . Ha ha ha - she should hear about my weekend if she thinks that's tiring. Hello teach kids class and run huge fashion show on Friday, culinary art for minni food party on Saturday, and furniture shopping/house organizing all day Sunday.
