Guest guest
I have had an image of a T-shirt with a snarky comment that I put on when things are spiralling downward and I am tempted to argue and reason with nada or any other dysfunctional person in my life. It isn't a real T-shirt, just my " mental T-shirt " My T-shirt says THERE IS NO REASONING WITH CRAZY PEOPLE! I would love to hear what your T-shirts would say if you made one up or maybe what the picture would look like if you are a more visual person. and of course, the snarkier, the better! ;-)
Guest guest
Well, there was my buddy, who had a t-shirt printed especially for when his elderly, batsh*t crazy nada was acting out in public . . . . He wore a button up shirt over it, so that all anyone could really see, when the shirt was buttoned , was the word " pray, " If she started acting out at the bank, or grocery store, he would unbutton the front, so the words " for me, " down the front, could be seen. If she didn't settle down, he'd take the shirt off, and on the back, was printed " she's off her meds, if I am rendered unconscious, call 911. (He has another one printed with his brothers phone no. on it.) She doesn't appreciate the humor. However, when she starts to give people too much grief, her fear of him stripping down to his shirt sleeves stifles her long enough to get through the check-out lane. She is one of the most out of control, foul-mouthed, vicious-evil-mean- and - nasty little women I've ever in my life met, but totally takes you by surprise, kinda like the adorable, pink, miniature poodle, with bows on its ears, that wags its tail all cute and darling, just before it eats your face. I've seen feign seizures, pretend to be afraid of her sons, fake medication overdose, fake falls in stores, pee in a police officers patrol car, and, when caught shoplifting, cry and say her son forced her to do it. She has accused her boys of elder abuse, steeling her medications, and so much more. Last winter, to avenge herself on the neighbors, she stuck a garden-hose through their mail-slot, and flooded their ground floor, while they were gone for the holidays. Another year, she flooded another neighbors front porch during freezing temperatures. She has killed trees with rocksalt, let air out of tires, and my personal fav, written dirty words on her neighbors prized blue grass front yard, with corn flakes, while they were gone for the laborday weekend. It completely killed the grass, leaving brown profanities indelibly printed in the yard for weeks. Worst of all, her boys would get blamed for this stuff. You can't tell if she really believes half the non-sense she spouts, or doesn't, (she wears aluminum foil under her wig, so the FBI can " t read her mind, but, if pressed, she laughs and says she does it just to annoy her sons.) She also tells anyone who will listen how much her boys embaressed *her, *and so-on, so you can't tell what is real with her, or, what's just meanness, but it's all really crazy. If I was one of her kids, I'd be working on my alibi. The joke at our house, when my Nada is being crappy, is " well, it could be worse, she could be wearing foil under her wig . . . . " Yeah, " Pray for me " would be a good place to start. The shirt I've worn, off and on for years, was one that said " Please Don't Feed the Flying Monkeys, " after finding Oz, that shirt took on a whole new meaning. Love your post! Guest guest
Well, I would love the one Bill Murray wears in the movie " What About Bob? " ; it said, " DON'T HASSLE ME, I'M LOCAL " It just cracks me up. For me, I'd have one made that says I'M NOT YOUR FREAKING THERAPIST. With nada and my brother--and honestly, with people who don't get a lot of talking time, for whatever reason--they seem to find it easy to unload on me. but does that mean that I am open to hearing it all the time. Um, no!! > > I have had an image of a T-shirt with a snarky comment that I put on when things are spiralling downward and I am tempted to argue and reason with nada or any other dysfunctional person in my life. Guest guest
I saw this one on a bumper sticker once, but I thought it would also make an excellent t-shirt logo: " If it ain't one thing, it's your MOTHER! Guest guest
Lol! I have a feeling you would *love* my " NoMo BPD " Training Collar and System! I made a couple of fake ads for a fantasy product I'd love to invent: an electric training collar for those with nasty personality disorders, based on the " no more barking " training collars for dogs, that zap the dog with a tiny but unpleasant electric spark when they bark. Guest guest
Holy Freaking Cow! I think that woman you described is way over in the deep end of the crazy pool; she's got something more than " just " bpd (like bpd alone isn't bad enough.) All those vicious (but highly creative) revenge-type behaviors and then blaming the criminal vandalism on her own sons!!?? I'm guessing " psychopathy " ! Thanks for sharing that, it makes the more " ordinary " bpd looniness a little more palatable in comparison. -Annie > > > ** > > > > > > I have had an image of a T-shirt with a snarky comment that I put on when > > things are spiralling downward and I am tempted to argue and reason with > > nada or any other dysfunctional person in my life. I was laughing hysterically as I read it. and I agree with another assessment, this woman is far more than BPD! I swear I snorted more than once, I was laughing so hard. Guest guest
I just read this topic list and its the best laugh I have had for ages. Here's my contribution. My wonderful husband delights in slogan t-shits that are fairly snarky - yes he owns them and wears them. Some of them that might apply here are: " Too many freaks not enough circuses " " I'm not fluent in IDIOT so please speak slowly and clearly " (perhaps replace idiot with crazy ...) " Please feel free to shut up " " I can only please 1 person each day. TODAY IS NOT YOUR DAY. Tomorrow doesn't look good either. " I loved the training collar and I must remember the tin foil under the wig reference LT > > I have had an image of a T-shirt with a snarky comment that I put on when things are spiralling downward and I am tempted to argue and reason with nada or any other dysfunctional person in my life. Guest guest
No matter where I go, the crazies seem to find me. It's like I'm some sort of medium, they all know I'm fluent or something. Not a joke, I've had to stop going to flea/farmer's markets (you know the types of people who frequent small town markets) because I get trapped talking to people I don't know about their terrible lives! Same thing with subways, the crazies always sit next to me and tell me their troubles. Must be written on my forehead in invisible crazy ink.
