I found out all the medicines I took contributed to my dry mouth. I saw a rheumatologist to be tested for Sjogrens and after reviewing my long list of meds she told me they were probably causing my dry mouth. I also quit drinking tea except for herbal. Tea, both black and green, dry out the mouth. I had already stopped drinking coffee because it hurt my stomach. Then I was drinking coke to help keep me awake and found out that also causes dry mouth, at least for me. I don't drink juices because my tongue is so sore from the chronic dry mouth. So I drink water only. It has become a boring life! lol I stopped all meds except for my thyroid med and my blood pressure med. I know they also contribute to dry mouth but I have to

have those meds. Yes, Neurontin is well known for causing dry mouth. I was also taking Baclofen. With each med I stopped I could see a slight improvement in dry mouth--first Neurontin, then Cymbalta and finally Baclofen. Hey Sharon,I didn't realize that neurontin could be responsible for dry mouth?I take 600 mgs at nighttime, to cut down on sleepiness duringthe day. I thought my dry mouth was attributed to my usinga CPAP. Perhaps it is both things, but I had no idea about theneurontin.
