You all know my family situation and even tho I have the occasional contact with one daughter, I know she'll never offer to help me with anything. It scares me as does doing so much for me. He's older than me, 67, and his health isn't that good. He ended up on disability because of his back which surgery didn't help and he refuses to let them try again. I'm also worried about his diabetes. Thanks goodness he doesn't drink anymore but I think he did some damage then. He's going to have dye injected into his eyes because "diabetes is leaking into them". Anyone know what means? He also has the occasional tingles in his extremities which I guess is neuropathy.

On a brighter note, Wednesday I finally get to go out! Get myself ready, down the front stairs, start walking the few yards to the car and fall! So I'm black and blue again. What I didn't tell was it was my left (good) side that let out on me. Anyway I ended up spending the night at his house snuggling with my baby ... no not but his son's loveable spoiled Cocker Spaniel. I wish so much I could get a pet but the apt I'm hoping to get into doesn't allow pets .... hugs, Cait

Thanks for the prayers Jackie. They mean so much. I son helps out every time he visits. He loves to cook so until he gets a job he would cook or at least help. He did all the laundry the other day when we had to take my Aunt for the first ultrasound. Unfortunately his wife won't be able to do much.

He sent an email to their local Wis. tv station that does make overs and explained about her Huntington's disease and they gave her a makeover. We just finished watching it and it was SO sad. She can't control the movement of her facial muscles and her body jerks like someone with Parkinson's disease. It was so sad to see. Eventually she will have to go to a nursing home when he can no longer take care of her. It could be a year or several years. He hopes she doesn't have to go for several years and can spend as much time as possible with their little 7 yr old daughter. I had tears in my eyes.

I've been doing a lot of worrying. Not much fun, thats for sure. The job our son was hoping to get, he didn't. We are all bummed. If something don't happen in the next month they will be coming here to live and I truly don't know if I can handle it. His wife is the one with Huntington's disease. Between the fibro and not being able to get my diabetes under control I am just totally wiped out all the time. Sorry to complain :-(

This email from Cait didn't make it to my inbox but I was able to read it through nne's response. Cait I am so sorry to hear of your fall. Are your injuries just the bruises? I'm sure you are very sore. Falls are scary in themselves. But the big thing for me is that it hurts my confidence and independence.Big hugs to you, Cait!
