Guest guest
What an irresponsible guy he is, Akiba. He moves you and Robbin to Florida near his mom and then takes off. When did you hear from him last? Do you have friends in Florida? hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Speaking of change, change in the aspect of monetary value, Rob has been gone for 3 weeks and has sent NO money at all. Rent is due on Sat, Thank G-d I have it! Guest guest
He called Monday night...late. Haven't heard from him since. He was *supposed* to go up to NY yesterday, no clue if he did or if he arrived ok. Beginning to not care, except it would hurt Robbin. Robbin is incensed at his dad, feels that not sending $ means he doesn't care about him (I try to tell him that his dad loves him but I secretly agree with him, his dad obviously doesn't care about him, or anyone but himself and his own gratification.) Once the rent check goes through I will have .59 left in my account for the rest of the month. I do have $109 in food stamps, thank G-d...and Mel is taking me to the store tomorrow, they will probably be gone by the time I get home but I will have food. As it is, I have several night's worth of dinner food, eggs and even bacon, 2 muffin mixes and a loaf of bread. So we'll make it with food, damned good thing I don't smoke or drink! Well, I do drink from time to time but can also do without, though if I run out of tea I AM in trouble!! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- dinner? What's for dinner at your houses? Guest guest
Did you give him a piece of your mind when he called Monday evening?I'd have lit into him big time!Thank goodness for food stamps! Are the rest of your bills paid up, likeinternet, etc., or is that included in your rent? You get food stamps eachmonth? Do you get extra for Robbin or do they just give you enough for1 person? What about your disability? You are on disability, yes? Willthat be coming soon? My kids also get a small ($58 per child) disabilitycheck which goes towards food. Guest guest
I tell Robbin that his father is teaching him by example how to be a man...just NEVER do what *he* does... Robbin sees the pain his dad has put/puts me through. I "prop him up" as you put it because whatever he is, he is still Robbin's father. Yes, I well know, better then anyone, that Rob doesn't give a good hot damn about anyone but himself. One thing that has been really pissing me off...I can drive, am a darn good driver, but he won't take me to get my drivers license renewed (it expired in '09), and the other day Mel was talking to him (she told me about this) and was asking him if I drive, he said yes, she asked why I don't, and he said "because I don't like her to" What it boils down to is, he doesn't want ME to be free to go wherever I want/need to go, but HE can be free to galavant around the country and screw who/whatever HE wants, while I am held captive. He doesn't "want" me, but he doesn't want ANYONE else to have me. I NEED to find a way out of this, I think Mel is working on it and she might even take me to get my DL renewed. I think she is firmly on my side, she has been looking for an affordable car for me, and for a golf cart as well...problem is, around here golf carts can cost MORE then cars!!! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- dinner? Guest guest
When he called it was so late I was already asleep. He said, he PROMISES (and we all know what THAT is worth) that he WILL send $$. Yeah. Right. The food stamps are for Robbin AND me, Florida is CHEAP (the state, not the prices). I do not get anything "extra" from the state (like the $58 you get), and my food stamps in Pa were $250 whereas here I get $109. ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- Re: Akiba and Rob.....Re: dinner? Guest guest
Dear Akiba,This info regarding Rob not permitting you to renew your license isabsolutely controlling and abusive! He cannot have this kind of holdon you, and I know you know that. I hope that Mel can enable you toget your license and get back on the road again. It will prove to befreeing for you, as well as cheaper than the taxi (although he alwaysseems to cut you a nice deal!).I am glad that Robbin's eyes are open to his father's behavior. This iskey in his not repeating bad patterns. You sure have a lot going on, Akiba. We are here for you, so keep reachingout in all the ways you need. love, Kateps. have you heard from n lately? dinner?> > > What's for dinner at your houses? > > I am cooking a pot of pinto beans and will make a pan of refried beans> tonight. Guest guest
I like to bake it sometimes, especially brown rice. I like to mix in a can of hoppin' john or corn/tomatoes/okra and serve it with chicken. My mom used to make arroz con pollo (chicken & rice) but I never seem to have the ingredients on hand for that. I'm always open to new recipes and suggestions! ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ -- dinner? What's for dinner at your houses? I am cooking a pot of pinto beans and will make a pan of refried beans tonight.
