Guest guest
DonnaI'm so sorry to hear your knee is acting up so much. I hope the "torture" helps you a bunch.I understand what you are saying about genealogy and the cognitive problems. I have had to make lists of what I have found and what I have done. I check my list so often. Sometimes I get excited that I just found something cool only to check my list and see that I found it last month! I have also been having more cognitive stuff going on lately. I don't understand the reason it is back worse again because I am really feeling so much better than I was in the summer. MS is weird:)hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Right knee is doing whatever it is that it's doing, but quite painful.. even that tendon outside on the back of the knee is joining in.. it's tighter than tight, and actually it tried to go into a Charlie Horse last night as I was trying to climb into bed.. actually had to jump out of bed, run around the bed, grab my manual wheelchair and run it up under my butt so I could sit down long enough to get the thing to ease up enough that I could climb into bed.. I did tell him last night, while I was motoring to the bedroom door in the power chair that we (HE) needed to stretch the muscles and ligaments and tendons out in my legs.. he asked if we could do it tomorrow night (tonight) instead, because he was exhausted.. So we (HE) will be inflicting pain on me this evening.. but with my knee kicking up the way it is.. I've been moving even less and less under my own pedal-pushing power.. Manual chair is beside the bed, for my nighttime jaunts to the potty.. roll myself right up to the toilet.. standing only long enough to get turned around to sit.. I had been walking from the bed, into the bathroom.. 15 or 20 feet in here.. at night.. but the knee just refuses to cooperate and allow me to do that any longer.. and if it won't allow me to do that, it certainly isn't going to allow me to walk further to the main bathroom when I'm in the living room.. Better to use the chairs than risk falling down again and possibly causing more damage to the knee(s) or other parts of my body.. unfortunately someone (HIM) has to torture my legs to keep them from doing whatever that's called that I can't think of right this second.. (showing some of the cognitive dysfunction I'm experiencing right now).. No projects.. other than the music project I've been working on since June (no, I did get him a couple of CD's made so far.. so I'm not completely not accomplishing anything there).. but right now every time I sit down to work on the music.. I get lost at what I was doing, or get completely off track.. and certainly can't decide how I want to group his next couple.. let alone the concentration that it takes to edit one song, while listening to another for completeness and distortions that need to be fixed.. (all of which a month or so ago, was easy for me to do).. Books... hmmm.. waiting semi-patiently for Jean M. Auel's next Earth Children Series book to be released in March of 2011.. .. Even is looking forward to that release.. and he's a Jules Verne type reader.. But I did get him to read The Valley of the Horses first (don't have a copy of Clan of the Cave Bear), and from that point forward he was way more than willing to read the next in the series.. Am trying to read a few e-books via & Nobles Nook for the PC.. been toying with the freebies first.. and I can sort of tell why they might be freebies.. they are Harlequin Romances, and not extremely well written.. not anything I can't put down.. So still looking for something that I can't put down reading wise.. Have played around a bit with Runescape.. usually during the week only when Earl is here.. and then weekends when is home.. cause it's just not all that fun to play alone all the time either.. Have been back to "Neopets" and have been playing around with that.. not like I did way back when I first started playing and was interested in collecting the "Neggs" (all kinds of eggs.. decorated all kinds of ways).. so was keeping track of buying and selling other items to make enough money to buy these "Neggs".. Now it's more for the brain stimulation than anything else.. Television shows.. not much into soaps.. well not daytime soaps anyway.. Tuesday night is a definite for television.. NCIS (CBS) followed by Stargate Universe (SyFy) followed by The Good Wife (CBS).. fortunately I can catch up on anything I missed via ch131.com because Earl was bound and determined that I was NOT going to watch them this week.. Wednesday night.. Criminal Minds, when I can remember.. but Thursday night I WILL be glued to the TV for The Big Bang Theory.. then I "have" to watch Bleep My Dad Says to get to whatever the show is that comes on at 9.. but can't remember the name of it.. Waiting for Royal Pains to come back in January.. as the USA network decided to give them an extended season or something.. I personally think it was a great idea they had.. coming up with "Summer Season Shows" rather than running re-runs of something else all summer.. So there was always something "new" to look forward to television wise.. Geneaology every once in awhile.. but with the Brain Warts thing going right now.. I find I get confused too easily.. and I've started over way too many times to work on it when confuzzled and screw it up somewhere along the line.. and not remember what in the heck I did to screw it up.. so.. best leave it alone until my brain works better.. And that's just how exciting my life is these days.. LOL HUGS |)onna Yep, it's time for my favorite game show --"Whatcha Been Doin'?" So fill us all in on life, MS, your hobbies, the books you are reading, favorite TV shows..... it's all about YOU! big hugs to each of you Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
The "torture" does help.. gets the endorphins rolling, and it was feeling better yesterday (I'm afraid that if I add that it seems to still be better this morning, I'll jinx it).. Though I think we moved all the endorphins in my body into the knee.. cause yesterday I felt like crap everywhere else.. Just can't win these days.. LOL My problem with genealogy.. is patience.. I get ahead of myself when I find a bunch of information.. and don't document the source so well when I'm adding the people to the file.. then have no clue who is and who ain't.. or where I got the original stuff from.. I usually document the first couple of items fairly well.. then impatience takes over and I tell myself I'll come back and document all in the group when I've finished adding the group.. then forget to go back and do it.. and I totally agree.. MS is very very weird! HUGS |)onna Donna I'm so sorry to hear your knee is acting up so much. I hope the "torture" helps you a bunch.
