Guest guest
Yes but you can't sell yourself short Donna. After you price the materials, how much do you really make an hour? Plus your creativity has a value. I used to stitch for people but only those who knew how much the materials cost. If it were a piece on linen and silk threads, they paid for the materials before I even started. I know some charge a penny a stitch but that doesn't work if the design is full of specialty stitches. And just looking at what people charge and actually get for knitting/crochet etc. One lady sells a pair of socks for over $100 ... sure it's wonderful wool but I wouldn't even wear them in case my toenail made a hole in them. On the other hand tho, people who go to art galleries know the works are going to be expensive and if they like something they're prepared to buy it. It wouldn't hurt to try a painting or two ... hugs, Cait
Guest guest
Hi Cate, You said it perfectly about Donna's art work. Cate could you please try to bring our font up. I am having a hard time reading what you have to say. Sharon if I stepped on your toes it is not intentional. Margaret A.
