Guest guest
Boy this IS a chatty group! I was unable to get online due to family stuff on Thursday and Friday, then Sat. and Sun. I was 5 hours down, 5 hours back (on Sunday) to Rockville, MD. Yup...hockey again! Came home to about 168 new emails!Today I awoke with a horribly stiff and painful neck, shoulder and scapula. It is just awful. Went to not just a chiro today, but my acupuncturist as well. They each eased it a bit, but it feels like it's still in spasm. I'm going to lie down now and put a heating pad on it. I'm tempted to take 1/2 oxycotin that I have from previous painful episodes of one type or another...As far as MS, my balance is way off. I was using a cane for a day with the balance being bad, and my left foot dragging. The foot thing has eased, but the balance is still wonky.I'm sorry if I can't address individual emails; I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by them all!I am curious what everyone's Thanksgiving plans are. My entire family, expect 1 brother and SIL and one niece, so about 27 of us in all, are going down to my Dad's assisted living home, where he is pretty much confined to with his advancing Alzheimers. They have cooking facilities there, so we are each going to bring a dish to cook or heat there. Should be a blast, then we are staying overnight in a nearby hotel to carry on more party festivities. Then breakfast together in my adjoining hotel room. Looking forward to it. What's everyone up to? hmmm?love to all, Kate

Guest guest
It sounds like you have good back-up plans, my friend. I love Schwans too. Never tried their pumpkin pie however. The spasm is getting better, not as gripping as it was yesterday. Unfortunately, I have to run around today--I teach a small toddler Bible group from 9 to 11:30; a bit tiring, but I do get $45 for that small amount of time! Then I go to speak to my pastor about marriage 'stuff'. Then still later I go to see my therapist. All in all a busy day for me. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a nap in.love to you and Robbin, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Mon, November 15, 2010 5:17:52 PMSubject: Re: trying to catch up.. Wow, You have been a busy girl! Guest guest
I'm so glad to hear you are all going to see your dad for Thanksgiving. What a nice idea! I have been wondering how you are doing and what's going on with the divorce. So sorry to hear about your pain. Challis had to go to the doc today because of incredible pain in her shoulder and last night. Her oldest daughter just called me and told me that her mom couldn't sleep all night long and was crying all night. I feel bad because I know she was hurting yesterday while taking me places. Her pain apparently got way worse.I hope your pain gets better in a huge hurry. love you SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I think my husband thinks I've forgotten all about the divorce. What I'm doing now, is getting a list of therapists that can see us for marriage counseling. I'm not holding out much hope, but feel I need to dot all my i's and cross all my t's before I 'bag it'.Between the acupuncturist, my chiro and a heating pad, I'm almost back to 100% better; about 80% at this point.I hope Challis is better and soon. Her family needs her.Last night I was up about 5 times, my mind was racing, and I just couldn't settle. I think I'm going to go back to bed for a bit and try to catch up on some zzzzs.Love you my friend, and all my buddies here,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Tue, November 16, 2010 12:13:21 PMSubject: Re: trying to catch up.. Guest guest
Kate, I fully understand the "mind racing" situation. That happens to me quite frequently, and usually more so when I'm stressed about something. Fortunately for me, I have a small rolling desk for the laptop, that most often sits right alongside my side of the bed. With it there, if I'm not up to being out of bed first thing in the morning, I can watch movies or play games, or even sit up on the bed and answer email. It also comes in handy on those nights when sleep eludes me because of the "racing mind" thing. Then I play solitaire or chainz, usually solitaire, it gets my brain focused on which move to make next (because I hate to lose a hand of solitaire) rather than what I had been thinking about. I find that I drift off to sleep, and rather than my mind racing about whatever is flitting around in there, I find myself thinking or dreaming, maybe, the next move on an brain-warp layout of solitaire. I will usually waken long enough to realize my hand is still on the mouse, poised to make the next card move. Most of the time when that happens, I can shut down the game, close the lid on the laptop, and drift right back into sleep mode. Some of my friends think I'm strange, but then they haven't had the wonderful experience of having that mind melt when trying to fall asleep either. I hope that you will be able to find something to help you fall asleep when the racing starts because there's nothing worse than losing sleep, unless it's losing sleep because of the brain-warps...
