Guest guest
Some of you know about my 90 yr old Aunt that we moved 10 min away from us 9 mo ago. She had a lump in her left breast and it turned out to be nothing. While she was there the tech said we normally do both breasts, do want to do them both? She has NEVER had a mammogram and never did breast self exams. So she looked at me and I said why not have it done too. She did and when the girl came back from the raidiologist she said that she had a suspicious lump in her right breast and they recommended an ultrasound. The ultrasound was this afternoon. I knew the minute the radiologist came in the room it wasn't going to be good news. She has a suspicous lump that they want to biopsy and she said no. I am going to live my life as normal as I can. She couldn't tolerate chemo or radiation. They showed us the ultrasound and its longer than rounder and has the start of some ???? Geez I can't think of the word I want. Like little points coming out. Then there are shadows going down from it or it looked like maybe in back of it. Has anyone had shadows like that? I really didn't want to get into too much with the radiologist and scare my Aunt. Please keep her in your prayers. Hugs nne

Guest guest
Oh no. I am sorry to hear this news. Is your aunt is good health overall? Perhaps a biopsy would be a good thing and that way she'll know if it is benign. If she's in good health she may have a several (or more!) years left to enjoy life.big hugs to you and your family and I will keep all of you in my prayers.love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Aunt n's heart isn't in the best shape. From what I saw of the ultrasound and what the radiologist said I would bet that it is breast cancer. It has all of the characteristics of it. She is happy with her decision and said at 90 she doesn't want them cutting on her or anything else. Thanks for the prayers. Guest guest
nne, It's going to be a hard thing to deal with, but I think I would have to agree with your Aunt's decision as well.. I don't mean to be crude or rude, or mean sounding. But, at 90 years of age, I'm thinking that she's feeling that she's lived a good life, relatively healthy throughout most of it, and that she doesn't want to be spending the rest of it being sick and/or miserable and hurting. I'm 99.999% certain that I personally would decide the same thing for myself if I were in her shoes. I will still keep her, in my prayers, as with and yourself as well.
