Does better one on one.His class is filled with 8 kid, 1 teacher and 2 aides. How can I homeschool him. can I get resources for it? Please let me know. We will be using http://www.connectionsacademy.com/check-availability.aspx In Florida we can do public/free version, it says NJ is " in development (public/free) " and

you could do the national/private/paid version.I think I bookmarked some other sources along the way of researching this. Let me look.

Best decision I ever made for my son.If you can decide to homeschool, it is possible (though I did not choose to) keep an IEP for him, and get access to therapies (If you choose to keep them - we did not) and I believe you can also get the school department to pay for the materials you would need for him. I wasn't sure about my city's attitude towards homeschooling so I wanted them the least involved as possible.I'm in RI - the city I live in makes homeschooling very easy. I know parents in other cities complain they are constantly bullied. It's as simple as writing a letter of intent (I have a copy of mine somewhere if you'd like a 'template' of sorts) - then they will send out a request for any paperwork they "require".

If you're lucky, you will find someone friendly and helpful at the school administration building who can help you navigate your way through keeping an IEP. You might consider posting something over at the taca yahoo group. there seems to be a mom or two who are fairly savvy when it comes to education laws. Good luck! It is WELL WORTH IT! A year and a half ago, my son (who was 7 at the time) still had a difficult time answering the "wh"s in a short paragraph of 3 or 4 very simple sentences. A year and a half later, he is at grade level stories (with some help). He still has a way to go, but he has come so very far. I'm so proud of him.-Tammy To: Sent: Monday, January 30, 2012 5:10 PM Subject: homeschooling in NJ
