Guest guest
Hi, what is the cause of this symptom? He looks at his hands and look with a peripherical view,he looks at things out of the corner of his eyes, why??? thanks!
Guest guest
This is usually a sigh of ocular motor issues. The muscles of his eyes do not move like most and this means that the child must either be using focal vision or peripheral vision. Their eyes do not move fluidly between the two. I would get him an exam with an experienced optometrist who deals with occult motor and visual processing issues ( not all do). RuthSent from my iPhone Hi, what is the cause of this symptom? Guest guest
It's called a visual stim. When looking through the peripheral vision, it stimulates a proprioceptive response. Many of our kids have proprioceptive needs because they can't feel themselves in space. Try it yourself and you'll see how much more movement you feel than just looking ahead of you. Blinds and ceiling fans do the same thing. It's also possible that there is a tracking problem. Prism lenses and vision therapy usually help but you have to find one that does them. In my house, it was viral and it was solved with antivirals. These come back whenever we stop antivirals. For some it's the EFAs and for others it's Vitamin A that helps. ~Antiviral Therapy 101~ http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ Hi, what is the cause of this symptom? Guest guest
Vitamin A REALLY helps this. 5000 IU of vitamin A palmitate and 10,000 beta carotene. Guest guest
That sounds like a visual stim caused by yeast. My son does that when he has a yeast flare.Gen Hi, what is the cause of this symptom? Guest guest
Vit A - micellise A possibly stirred up measle virus ( iknow it is suppose to kill but it pribably did not in ourcase) when doing a loading dose. My son did not hv visual stim until we did high dose vit a protocol. I read in templer gradin book that what our kids with such visual stim has a tunnel vision with kaleidoscopic view at peripheral. Hence moving object from side to side to see the jumbled up image of the object when looking at it from the side of their eyes. This was described by an autistic adult. It took me months to correct this. Vit a from natural source such as CLO, betacarotene and lutein. Jarrow's works quite well for us here. > > > Vitamin A REALLY helps this. 5000 IU of vitamin A palmitate and 10,000 beta carotene. > > > Sonya Doherty, ND > Burlington, ON > > looking at his hands, all the time:why? > > Hi, > what is the cause of this symptom? > He looks at his hands and look with a peripherical view,he looks at things out of the corner of his eyes, why??? > thanks! >
