Guest guest
Hi, My first shipment of the MS drug Ampyra arrived yesterday. It's a controlled release version of fampridine (4-AP) and is to help make it easier to walk. The nurse at the UCSF MS Center told me that because it is controlled release, it can take up to two weeks to feel the full benefits. UCSF applied to Acorda (makers of Ampyra) to get me the med. at a reduced cost. My insurance (Aetna) is paying $546.29 of the cost per month, Acorda pays $506.29 of the cost. And, I pay $40. I was paying $100 per month for the fampridine. Because I started on Ampyra, I can't take my remaining fampridine supply. I have about half a month's worth left. If someone would like to have it, let me know. However, if you've ever had seizures, you should not take it.Dan U dao_nguu@... The New Busy is not the old busy.
