Guest guest
The little fellah has a range of eight miles, minimum, and I almostnever will travel in him more than 5.8-6 miles on a full charge.I cannot reach Edna by phone yet; we had planned to dine outthis evening near her house (2.9 miles from me)--IF he is fully charged by then--if not, tomorrow!Thank you, Akiba.Love,n, promising to be "good," rare for meTo: MSersLife Sent: Wed, November 17, 2010 3:47:45 PMSubject: Re: n has wheels!/ WHEE! Guest guest
n, Do you know if the batteries in your chair are "gel" type or one of the other two types? I was told to make sure that I charged the battery for at the very least 12 hours the first few times of charging, and to make sure that I ran the battery below five bars before recharging. And then they let it slip, kind of intentionally because all the literature tells one that these batteries do not develop a memory (like the lithium, I think, batteries), but in the kinda sorta slip of the tongue, one of the guys from the repair/maintenance department told me that they do indeed develop a memory regardless of what the literature and/or salesperson tells you. I'm so ecstatically happy to hear that you are going to be out and about and free to roam once again, and we will once again get to hear of your adventures! I only wish that I lived a city type surrounding where there were actual sidewalks to go out and about myself. I can't wait to hear of your first adventure! I'd have told you about my first excursion in my chair, except I really didn't think anyone was interested in my trip to the bathroom.. Guest guest
Tiny little battery, and I was advised to charge it for about 8 hours on thefirst charge; it has a lighted scheme which will tell me when the little fella isready to go!We are lucky to have Para-Transit Services here ($3.00 each way), and youare right I am lucky to live in an area full of towns and cities and sidewalks.I think a battery-driven trip to the bathroom is pretty exciting!Love to you, (lonna,nFrom: |)onna To: MSersLife Sent: Wed, November 17, 2010 5:39:01 PMSubject: Re: n has wheels!/ WHEE! n, Do you know if the batteries in your chair are "gel" type or one of the other two types? Guest guest
n, told me to tell you that the trip to the bathroom was pretty exciting. I ran over two dogs, 's foot and put a big nick in the door frame.. LOL I didn't really run over the dogs.. but I have accidentally managed to find a toe or two.. fortunately not my own this time.. and then only just a touch of the toe.. Now the furniture can't say the same.. but someone keeps moving it around making my entire living room a obstacle course! Love to you as well n |)onna Tiny little battery, and I was advised to charge it for about 8 hours on the first charge; it has a lighted scheme which will tell me when the little fella is ready to go!
