Guest guest
Pretty much the SCIA approach. (NSAIDS and probiotics along with any needed anti fungals/bacterial/virals/parasite.He also touched on the occasional use of Actos, Spironolactone, Steroids, and HBOT. Guest guest
He did a general overview: They start with a decent multivitamin and a probiotic. (They suggest VSL#3 or Custom Probiotics because they are familiar with these and know they are effective). However, if your child can not tolerate them, choose a probiotic with a count of atleast 200billion. You would give this twice a day. Then you would begin the NSAID. Please keep in mind that this dosing is for prescription strength: 20-22mg per kg of weight 3 times a day WITH MEALS for the first ten days of each month. (He did not elaborate on whether they continue with the probiotic when they stop the nsaid after ten days. I would assume they would continue it - since most of our kids take this daily anyhow - but I am wrong on a daily basis.) *A 40lb child = 18kg (40 divided by 2.2=18 kg's) Take 18 kg's x 20-22 = 360-400 mg dose 3 times a day. Total 24 hour dose would be 1080-1200 mg's. Because this is nearly twice the amount recommended on OTC nsaids, it's very important that you have a good probiotic in place and that your doctor is checking your child's liver function every six weeks or so. Then the protocol would call for starting antivirals 7 days after that. That's as far as he went with it.There's a great overview at the SCIA webisite. One for patients and a more detailed one for doctors who join the SCIA yahoo group for doctors. Hope this helps,Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Thursday, February 2, 2012 12:15 PM Subject: Re: I missed the conf call last night Did he discuss dosing for the ibuprofen? > > Pretty much the SCIA approach. Guest guest
Hi. I have done the ibuprofeno protocol according to SCIA to my son. The ibuprofeno recommended there is DEXIBUPRENO, less harsh to the gut, it needs a prescription and is sold in CANADA (www.canadadrugs.com) very cheap $ 22 Dls for a box of 60 tabs enough for two rounds for my child that weights 56 lb. he takes 1 tab of 300mg 3 times per day during 10 days, with Coustom prob Free D-Lactate. The regular ibuprofen can be used, I do not the doses but the doctor willing to prescribe it, could joining the SCIA physician section and get that and the whole protocol info. www.stopcallingitautism.org Lourdes Espinoza Sent from my iPad

Guest guest
Hi. The first 3 rounds (10 days on 20 days off) I did not see any changes... I emailed JUAN R the founder of SCIA and he told me that the doses was loww for my child weight (I was giving him 1 tab 300mg 2 times per day) and the correct dose for my child was 3 tab 300mg x day. The next time I did the round with the correct doses, I saw good things mainly receptive, more aware orf his sourrondings and new things like he started for the first time in his life to ask for waching a video, he took a video of Barnie, handed to me, and took me in front of the TV... I did not understand at the begginig... I thoug he wants me to put the video ??????? mmmmmm well I put the video and he wachted the whole 30 min episode..... he never paid attention to the TV since that day he eventualy goes and picks a video. even he trys to put it himself or ask for someone to put the video, the other good thing was that we were trying very hardo to get him potty trained, en during the time of the round on, he finally got it.... With the dexibuprofe I was giving him 400,000 per day of CUSTOM PROBIOTICS FREE D-LACTATE. The next round I ran out of CUSTOM and I gave him just CULTURELLE... big mistake, because my son developed and episode of gastritis (he has been always a gut kid). I am giving him water kefir now (www.kefirlady.com) and I am planning in giving him CUSTOM PROBIOTICS during the next round. Lourdes Espinoza > > Lourdes, > What was your experience like?
